171-6 at the close, just need the small matter of a further 385 to win,i think we can confidently say that won't happen.

In addition, they'll only get the 3 Bowling bonus points if they lose, which should leave Lancashire 27 points clear of 2nd place as we go into the T20 ... 3rd place Derbyshire look likely to lose to Northants as well !!

Watching the World Cup question.
Was that OT as is? Or were there temporary stands put up? It looked bitty but very impressive.

They use one temporary stand for the big games as below on the right.

I know it's called the temporary stand, but it's effectively permanent. The only time it comes down is when there's a concert, because that's where the stage goes. They put it up again afterwards. It takes seven days to dismantle it and another seven to re-erect it.

And we all wondered whether they'd gone mad when they built The Point.

Glamorgan and Derbyshire both lost,Lancs 28 points clear of second ,and crucially 42 points ahead of 4th placed Durham, that's effectively 2 maximum points wins, and still the only unbeaten team in the 2nd division.

I assume they don't have Barnfield on the job then.
