I have to stress this isn't my choices but the BBC sport readers,so here goes,i'm sure this will cause some heated debate, there's a couple i strongly disagree with.

4. Kane Williamson (New Zealand)
5. Shakib Al Hasan (Bangladesh)
6. Ben Stokes (England)
7. Alex Carey (Australia)
8. Chris Woakes (England)
9. Mitchell Starc (Australia)
10. Jofra Archer (England)

Re: Cricket World Cup XI
I watched a report on Sky last week when Viv Richards was asked who was the best player he had seen in the world in the past decade.
He answered immediately Jos Buttler.
You could not leave him out of that team but bat him higher up the order.
Number 4 and drop Williamson.
Having a cheat at number two winds me up. And he is ugly.

Couldn’t really argue with any of them choices in my opinion the only person who could be included would be Roy he has scored less runs but played less games it’s just which of the top 2 run scorers would you drop to have him in the team.

You can’t drop Williamson from that. He’s been brilliant. Agree with Jarrow, definitely a case for Roy. The impact he’s had on his team in the tournament can’t be overlooked.
Carey has been marginally better than Buttler this tournament, so he gets in on merit. Buttler is still the best in the world at his role, he’s just not been as majestic as usual in this tournament.
The only other one I’d try to make a case for in the team above is Lockie Ferguson. Been brilliant with the ball for New Zealand. Hard to drop the other 3 quicks, though.

Can't disagree too much with that line up to be honest. I take tybfc's point on Jos Buttler who would always get into my world team but not for his performances in this tournament. Jason Roy is the only other Englishman I'd consider and as much as it pains me, you have to include the distasteful Warner.
Special mention here too for Shakib Al Hasan. Didn't he scored seven successive half centuries?

Root has scored more runs at a higher average than Kohli. Great batter that Kohli is, Root should be in.
Re: Cricket World Cup XI
Not sure how anyone can suggest dropping Williamson when he's carried NZ all the way to the final. Kohli hasn't had a great tournament really not sure why he's there.

Re: Cricket World Cup XI
Roy, Root and Buttler have to be in. Also Stokes has to be there or thereabouts because of his allroundermanship.
