I knew nothing about that one, it is something that just came from Nixon initially when he also reported we were in for Malinovskyi when he was already having his medical at Atalanta. Malinovskyi was the one I had the article written for that I said a week or so ago that I didn't expect to use, the ship had sailed long before he went to Atalanta.

Not quite true tony, it was reported in the sun on Sunday morning, he didn't arrive in Italy for his medical later that day. I know people don't like Nixon, but it would appear he was right about our interest, just a little too late.

It was reported last Friday that he was going to Atalanta by the Belgian media but I knew a week earlier that we weren’t getting him. Nixon would have been right a couple of weeks earlier but the ship had long sailed.

Genk seem to be selling quite a few players.

Like most clubs the % of players we sign having been linked with them in the media beforehand is very low. That % for us involving overseas players is even lower.

In reality I suspect our “interest” in overseas players rarely amounts to much.
