We might have offered him the same money he was on at Bury :D

To be honest, don't know anything about him but Stone said we needed to do some recruiting at this level.

I do like these kind of signings. Hope for the future and great to see how the younger lads develop.

More than often they don't make it with us but go on to have good careers elsewhere. It must be great to make that step up.

Good luck Ryan.

So does this mean that Dwight McNeil is changing squad number for next season, or is it different with him being under 23’s?

Some very sensible comments there about concentrating on U23's and not thinking about the first team. Good look to the lad.

Ha ha - I noticed that too. Nothing been said and Dwight has been wearing 31 in training in Portugal and in the match against Fulham.

Played right wing-back at Bury apparently........change of tactics about to unfold? Stone says the U-23's is meant to mirror the first team so that the youngsters are prepared.

Bury seems a good town to produce right backs, best of luck to him.

Callum Styles, signed for Barnsley last summer, returned to Bury on loan until January and returned to Barnsley, made his debut for Barnsley in March against Accy.

Is it a sign of the times that I assumed his name was "Shaker Ryan" until I opened the article?

Not the clichéd humour I was referring to elsewhere. I laughed out loud at that.

McNeil would probably take the 11 shirt that Wood has vacated, after all its generally associated with left wingers - plus that was Ryan Giggs’ number, a player whom McNeil stated as his idol (footballing terms only)
