Fully deserved. Superb servant to Lowerhouse and The Lancashire League and a nice bloke to boot. Well done Blez.

I remember playing football with him at primary school !
Re: Bleazard inducted into Wisden Hall of Fame
He once stood hovering over me in class for about 20 seconds, never said a word, just stood there looking at me, class was silent. Cured my hiccups. Good teacher was Blez.

Another one who was taught maths by him. He also once pinned me up against a wall and I genuinely thought he was going to tw@t me.
One of the nicest, calmest, most laid back individuals you’ll ever meet. Testament to just what an annoying little git I was.
Bloody good cricketer too.

Great cricketer. I was the Lowerhouse scorer for a few years (91 to 93) and so got to watch him every week. Top bloke.
Re: Bleazard inducted into Wisden Hall of Fame
Excellent goalkeeper who fancied himself as a left winger too but we always sent him back to play in the nets !
Played football with him throughout school and sixth form and sat next to him in A Level history.
Carried the school cricket team and his performances got them to Old Trafford to play in a big final - they got beat but he was basically solely responsible for the rest of the team getting to fulfil a dream of playing at OT instead of getting knocked out in the first round which they would have done without him !!
Great lad and brilliant achievement.

Re: Bleazard inducted into Wisden Hall of Fame
I’m too old to have been taught by Blez and to my knowledge I’ve never met him. But what a credit he’s been to Lowerhouse for so many years and an outstanding batsman.
Re: Bleazard inducted into Wisden Hall of Fame
Known him for 30 plus years now and I remember at school resenting the fact he liked cricket better than football but that’s cos I knew how great a keeper he was but didn’t appreciate how brilliant a cricketer he was.
He had every chance to make it as a keeper and had scouts watching him regularly.

I had the pleasure to have been knocked out of both Lowerhouse and Rishton's grounds when bowling against him.
Magnificent batter and a top bloke.

Was my maths teacher too. We had him straight out of teachers college and gave him a bit of a baptism of fire be he was always a good sport and he must be a great teacher to get me through my GCSE. Jolly nice chap.

Re: Bleazard inducted into Wisden Hall of Fame
I was taught by Blez for several years at Habergham, he was one of those teachers you just knew not to step out of line with and had complete control of the classroom. Nice fella though and I never had any problems with him but he gave out some real bollockings.
Re: Bleazard inducted into Wisden Hall of Fame
First saw him at for LHCC at Rishton when he was just a kid. His fielding and catching were amazing.
Nice unassuming chap.
