Season ticket question

I know someone who is getting a season ticket which has been paid for by a friend, but the guy getting it is not able to go on all the matches,
Will the person who paid for it be able to get a refund. Anyone know policy regarding ST refunds?

I’d contact them but I can’t see you getting a full refund at this stage, not when those on direct debit will have already paid a quarter.

it was paid for all in one go. not sure that makes any difference though, anyway best to ask ticket office.

I initially read it as they are no longer able to use the ST so want to return it but rereading it, it does/could read like they want a refund on games they cannot attend

I am going to guess here that this new season ticket holder wants to be guaranteed a seat for the 'Big Games'
but will be trying for a refund against teams like Norwich for example.

I wonder if this new ST holder has thought of giving the ticket to somebody who cannot afford to go?

No, I suspect we will have an empty seat here for the matches against the less fashionable clubs.
Thus depriving someone of going who wants to go.

If you're asking about a refund for the games he can't go on, then no chance - that's the way season tickets work. Discounted tickets for all games, not just some of them.

If you're asking about a full refund because he doesn't want the ticket, then you've a chance. I don't know what the rules are, and it might well be done on circumstances case-by-case. I got a full refund no questions asked when my Dad dies in July a good few years back; obviously these are very different circumstances.

A lot of assumptions here... Not sure why the OP has brought in that the ST was paid by another. Any refunds would go straight into the bank who paid it in the first I stance, just like with any other refund.

If you actually read what the OP says, which in fairness is written in very clear and understandable English, you will see that he is asking whether the purchaser of the season ticket can return and get a refund on said season ticket.

My reply was on the basis that a refund was required for matches that couldn't be attended, hence my answer being no. If it's for a full refund then as others mention speak with the ticket office.

I bought a season ticket and I’ve already paid a quarter of it and the process will have been done for a fourth month. If I cancelled I’d have lost a third of the price. So no way are they going to refund someone.

Ticket Office have confirmed no refunds on full paid season tickets unless exceptional circumstances. That's all i wanted to know.
Can i also clarify the person getting the season ticket in NOT ME. someone else. And it certainly wasn't a case of refunds on individual matches either as someone said earlier.

I don’t suppose that they will offer refunds, especially if it was purchased in the early bird period as somebody could pay that then decide later taking in to account other factors eg relegation/promotion. If they allow it without exceptional circumstances they are making a rod for their own back if we have a poor and to a season and get unexpectedly relegated.

Mind you, I do find quite a lot of things hard to follow.
I am already beginning to struggle half way through this sentence, the bit in italics above.
My brain had wandered off wondering if this part of the sentence is relevant or not,
or indeed is it the beginning of a riddle?

If you cant get a full refd, try and sell it. You might get nearly the full amount as I'm sure they'll be someone who may now want a season ticket and like the early bird price.

Failing that, knock a few quid off what he paid, might tempt someone who's circumstances gave changed or couldn't afford a full one.

Some money back is better than nothing , which if unused is a waste if both his money and a seat.

You can read it ten ways if you want but there’s only one correct way to read it. The OP has asked if it is possible to get a refund for a season ticket. Nowhere does he mention getting individual refunds for the matches that the ticket holder can’t attend.

I must admit I have a daily fancy for an Aldi Twix, otherwise known as Jive. For anyone that's not tried them it's a must, admittedly they're smaller but they taste much better Imo than a Twix.
