Moving the bar at the JHu Jimmy Mac end

Post by Woodleyclaret » Wed Jul 17, 2019 5:56 pm

It would be an excellent idea to swop the coffee food area with the bar so easing the queues at the half time
Also if fans would stop congregating next to the gents as this also causes congestion

It would be a good idea to actually open all over the available kiosks. Then, have staff that actually give a **** and serve you. How about even having some drinks ready. I gave up buying anything from the ground as it takes the whole of half time to get served.

Pretty sure they must have been instructed to be as slow as possible unscrewing bottle tops and cans!

I never go down to the concourse at half time. It's horrendous with queues for the bar and people pushing through the queue to get down the stairs to the smoking area. People crushed up against the walls , Tv's that don't work, toilets with only one hand dryer that barely blow and cold water from a tap that turns off immediately you let go of the push button meaning you have to wash one hand at a time. Extortionate prices.
Nah, not for me.

JM upper at the Longside end. Family stand. :?

With the best will in the world, aint this something you should have mailed the club about last season? doesn't strike me as leaving enough time to do it, even if there was the will

I’m confident Leisure will have hot water and working hand dryers for us all by August.

The club aren't that bothered about trivial things.

The stewards don't give a flying monkeys about crowd management. The police just say it's the stewards job.

You might get action if you film the problems and tagshame them on twitter but they're pretty thick skinned.

Might be on my own here...But Everton for all the comments about the ground being dilapidated ..were friendly and pretty rapid serving food and Drink. Toilets fine also.

it is all very badly designed, I get that they are limited with the space to accomodate the food and drink stalls, but its just one big mass of people crowding in with no order to anything.
As for the bogs though, I was about in the old beehole end days, and these present ones are luxurious by comparison, believe me !!

I’m not too familiar with the concourse in the JHU, but wouldn’t it make more sense to use the barriers to create a winding queue that runs parallel to the bars and kiosks rather than perpendicular to them? In the JMU the queue often extends the full depth of the concourse - I presume it’s the same in the JHU.

Wigan is the only place I have been to where they manage the crowd with help from stewards and their system worked brilliantly, even though it looked like you were joining a massive queue.

What is the obsession with tap water temperature?

Is it because we've been in the Prem for a good few years and tickets are fairly priced so we're scratching around for stuff to complain about? Or do people genuinely get upset washing hands in cold water? Must see a post about it every day.

I don’t know why they don’t use the space between the concourse and underneath of the seating steps (if that makes sense)

You could have some kind of balcony area to take your drinks etc. Wouldn’t be big but it’d take people out of they way. That’s the biggest problem in the concourse. Once served beer there isn’t anywhere to go. People just stay opposite the bar. The queue then backs on to them and people can’t get past and where I am (the exit I ise ) the woman's toilets are completely blocked off.

Yeah that’s it.
People were perfectly happy to wash their hands in cold water and wipe their hands on the coats of the people in front of them previously.
Everything changed after we beat Cardiff.

Seriously, I'm genuinely curious. Pretty sure the NHS said a while back there's no health and safety issue with using cold water instead of hot. Is it really that bad?

On some occassions when there was hot water it was that hot that you risked getting scalded!

It doesn’t bother me in warmer months, but the fact I, and I see most other people doing the same, avoid washing my hands in winter months as the water is freezing and the hand dryers aren’t fit for purpose has to be of some concern. Almost everywhere you go now they have the powerful hand dryers which dry and warm (nice in winter) your hands after washing. We’re in 2019, not 1989. The things our fans are talking about are thousands of pounds to rectify, not millions, so yes, the fact we’re in the PL is a factor as we know we more than have the money to do it.
