Who's next was the first album I ever bought,it's an all time classic without a bad track,I don't prefer LB's version,I just like their rendition of it,Who's Next is in the top ten of the greatest albums ever written, and behind blue eyes is brilliant,I didn't mean to disrespect a beautiful song by the Who...sorry buddy.

You are partially forgiven :D

I wouldn't mind so much if they were called Limp Biscuit.

The cover version of The sound of silence must be in the top three of covers, the rest of Disturbed tunes are shite though. ;)

The Buckleys always seem to be involved with good covers:

Jeff Buckley doing Lilac Wine, Hallelujah, 2 or 3 Smith's songs
This Mortal Coil doing Tim's Song to the Siren (although my favorite version is Messiah's trance / club mash up)
Brendan Perry's I must have been blind is an underrated vocal stand-out.

I’m shocked how many folk have mentioned this. Didn’t do it for me at all. I’ll stick with S&G.

One of my favourite Dylan covers is the Tribute Album, "Is it Rolling Bob?" a reggae tribute to Bob Dylan.

sizzla - subterranean homesick blues is a highlight, complete with a recreated music video too.

I’m just gonna have a little chuckle to myself, safe and secure in the knowledge (hope) that this was just a little fishing expedition.

Btw, when I say “little” I’m being ironic.

David gray did a decent cover of “say hello, wave goodbye” on his white ladder album.

Nirvanas live and unplugged version of Bowie’s “the man who sold the world” is superb, DESPITE the bum guitar notes in the solo.

Dylan fans are overprotective of their croaking genius hero, and I can never fully understand why. His place in Music History is secured. He is a virtually peerless songwriter. He’s a bloody awful Singer, mind.

I sort of get ya, but I think his voice is excellent. He makes stuff rhyme that has absolutely no right to.
