Be a good in for a young graduate. Expect it will be glorified tele marketing in the main, at least for a time.

Re: Job offer at the Turf
No doubt we will hear the usual soundbites about the market being tough before Monday’s deadline passes and we promote Maureen from the customer service desk.
Will be interesting to see what impact Rigg makes here.

Re: Job offer at the Turf
Not much on there about what the club can offer the successful candidate, not even a mention of salary. Whenever I was looking for jobs I always saw stuff like that as a massive red flag.

But present degrees are ten a penny. Even a Masters is not up to an old degree. No longer education just a revenue stream.

I have a degree in computing in business - never used it. Experience counts for much more.

It says degree or equivalent is an essential requirement. Usually a person wouldn't even get an interview if they can't meet the essentials.basil6345789 wrote:Don't need a degree for it.

There is no salary, but you'll be a marketing assistant hero.

Re: Job offer at the Turf
Yes, I've done plenty of recruitment over the years but it's well known that organisations don't normally shortlist people who can't meet the essential requirements set out in the person specification.FactualFrank wrote:Voice of experience?

FF/DB, the only thing you have done here is show yourself up.

Re: Job offer at the Turf
I haven’t taken it personally at all. I was surprised when you told me that you had blocked me as I wouldn’t like to think that my posts upset anyone on this messageboard. The reason that I’m questioning it is that you claim that you cannot read my posts, as I’m on you blocked list, yet this is the third (I think) time since you claimed that I was on your blocked list that you’ve replied to one of my posts. So were you just fibbing?FactualFrank wrote:I get it - You're not happy and have taken it as a personal insult that I've added you to the **** ist.
