Worth more of a ppv than the last few shows. Whyte and Rivas both very good. Hopefully Whyte gets the win and the shot at a world title that he has deserved for a long time.
Although I don't think any fight should be ppv.

Re: Tonight’s Boxing
I think its a good card but never PPV, theres no belts on the line
The reason its a good card is because hes paying them good money, hence the PPV so you cant really complain
We pay £30 the US pay nearer £100

Re: Tonight’s Boxing
DAZN in the US is the way we should get it. A 1 off subscription which includes all the PPV fights, rather than the U.K. which gets royally ripped off.

Re: Tonight’s Boxing
I’d argue with anyone who says it’s not a belting card, there’s no titles but it will be entertaining. I just don’t feel I should pay more, but understand the reasons why... blokes putting their lives on the line want paying for it, for too long they’ve earned peanuts

Re: Tonight’s Boxing
Good entertaining fights, im going allen stoppage and whyte points as rivas is tough but hes not had a test like this yet as a professional.
Undecided with chisora as szpilka is a southpaw and chisora struggles with them but if i have to pick il go chisora stoppage.
Caleb plant also fights who i think is an excellent fighter, nice UD for him i think as well.

Re: Tonight’s Boxing
Stream gone poor as more tune it
Price is by all accounts a really good boxer as say all his spar partners but by his own admission he freezes on the main stage. I just feel he should dominate Dave but wont, If Dace lands that over hand right like Povetkin it’s game over.
I’ve a strange feeling Rivas wins tonight, obviously I want him and Chisora to win though

Im the same with rivas but il stick with whyte edging a points win.
Thats exactly how I see the price fight ending think he'll work the body and and then put that overhand right in to end price.
Time will tell, not long

Re: Tonight’s Boxing
Was pleased for Price, he stuck to a plan and schooled Dave, really worrying to see Dave throw the towel in as I watched an interview with him a few weeks ago and he said he’d never quit in a ring. There’s no shame at all in it but he didn’t look well, fair play to him! He’s a career in TV, call it a day
Re: Tonight’s Boxing
Allen was in a mess at the end. He was sat on his stool for ages with the oxygen mask on. Not entirely sure what happened to him. He did look like he had run out of ideas but I didn’t get the impression he had run out of energy. Clearly something wasn’t right for him to quit as he did.

It says he would have known before the fight - I thought he looked really subdued on the lead up and especially during the weigh-in when interviewed by Sky.Socrates wrote:Oh dear.

I think he's tested positive for banned substances before?
If this one is true then Whyte is a major hypocrite. He's always implying that Joshua is a drugs cheat

Served a two year ban. Said it was a misunderstanding. Fool me once, shame on you .....Chuckypad wrote:It says he would have known before the fight - I thought he looked really subdued on the lead up and especially during the weigh-in when interviewed by Sky.

A boxer died over the weekend after a fight in America. Matchroom were tweeting their sympathies about it. If they’ve sent a fighter into the ring knowing they may have failed a test ..... well, it looks a bit hypocritical.

Re: Tonight’s Boxing
This could be the end of Whyte. Any ban for getting popped a second time would certainly end his world title ambitions and Beyoncé Wilder has a legitimate excuse to avoid him.
If the Bbboc and matchroom knew about this before hand then both parties will have lost all credibility.

Re: Tonight’s Boxing
They pay no where near £100. Wilder vs Fury was an extremely expensive PPV for the US market and was $75 which works out at roughly £60. $50-$60 is the normBurnley1989 wrote:I think its a good card but never PPV, theres no belts on the line

Well that's **cked it up for im hasn't it. Shame really because he's got the power to hurt the bigger guys, so a match v Wilder would have been interesting

Re: Tonight’s Boxing
You'd think so but look at Ortiz and Miller... both shouldnt be boxing again after various failed tests. Its so Dangerous at that weight class and does nothing for the growing support of boxing and the work thats been done over the last 5 years or soRight_winger wrote:This could be the end of Whyte. Re: Tonight’s Boxing
Rivas’s promoter has said on Twitter they weren’t informed of a failed test. If the test was failed then that is utterly deplorable.
There are rumours - just rumours I should stress - that Matchroom have been attempting an injunction of some form to prevent details getting out.
Hearn was making fun of Pacquiao being a drugs cheat just this weekend. If it’s true he knew he put a fighter who failed a test in with somebody who doesn’t know.
I am a huge, huge boxing fan. But if this has happened the way it has ..... I dunno. That sickens me and the “sport” as a whole.

Re: Tonight’s Boxing
That tells me he failed the test.SammyBoy wrote:https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2019/ ... st-reports
The original article said he failed the A Test and exercised his right to have the B Sample tested.
The BBBoC rules say the fighter is cleared to fight under those circumstances.
If he had failed a test he would have said so. That’s Hearn covering his arse because it’s looking like some shenanigans on his and Matchroom’s part.
