He doesn't like imposters.
He gives you inside info for free, Why should he put up with people that pretend to be him?

Re: Alan nixon
Not right what the imposter has done but it was more of a parody account than a genuine attempt to imitate him. He has attracted that sort of thing with his inflated ego. He really needs to get over himself. Full of his own self importance.Quickenthetempo wrote:He doesn't like imposters.

He offers titbits more often than not..just to tease you enough into buying the rag he writes for. He certainly doesn't like being pulled up for being wide of the mark but quick enough to advertise when he is right.
Re: Alan nixon
I don't have twitter but I do search for his name and check his tweets sometimes because, if you can be bothered to sift through the rubbish, he does have some good inside info.
However, why anyone would actually engage with him is beyond me. Every other tweet of his appears to be him blocking someone for questioning him. He's a proper nutter.

Re: Alan nixon
Ego has been slowly growing over the past year or so. Very odd bloke who sees himself as some sort of Twitter celeb now (though isn’t the only sports journalist on Twitter to have an over-inflated sense of their own importance). Unfollowed when he started reviewing other people’s accas.
And does he even have inside info on us now? Was linking us with a player who was already in Italy signing for Atalanta the other week.

Re: Alan nixon
Obviously he has an ego or he would just keep making money off the paper he writes for, but he seems to prefer the limelight on twitter.
He used to write posts on a Blackburn forum once of a day. That says it all.
But he does get first hand info.

Re: Alan nixon
He’s blocked me for quite a few years now - I can’t remember the exact reason, but I do recall it revolving around being a patsy for Coyle...

Can just imagine how the conversation went ...
bartons baggage: Hi, it's Alan Nixon isn't it?
Alan Nixon: Oh, er, yeah, hi.
bb: Look I just wanted to ask you something
AN: I'm just in a bit of a ru...
bb: This will only take a minute, you know Johann Berg Gudmundsson right?
AN: I'm sorry?
bb: Johann Berg Gudmundsson, winger, plays for Burnley
AN: Well, not personally but I know who he is
bb: So what do you think of him?
AN: Sorry, what?
bb: Johann Berg Gudmundsson. What do you think of him. Don't you think he's overrated?
AN: Well I wouldn't mind him at Partick Thistle!
bb: Ha ha, yeah but really. He's crap isn't he? I mean, really stealing a wage at Burnley wouldn't you say?
AN (walking away): Look, I've got to go ...
bb (following): See, I've got these statistics here from last season that prove ...
AN (running): Yeah, whatever
bb: (shouting): So you agree then?

"reluctant Nicko" hasn't had any real info on us since the last person linked to Coyle left the building / couldn't build anymore buildings
Re: Alan nixon
He tries his best but you have to remember that he comes from a inferior footballing nation

Dislike the guy by all means, but I think you will find he's normally there or thereabouts with burnley newsCharlieinNewMexico wrote:"reluctant Nicko" hasn't had any real info on us since the last person linked to Coyle left the building / couldn't build anymore buildings

Did do. He hasn't had the inside track for years since his mates left. Ever since has been living off it. Now he's like a blind man throwing darts.... occasionally by the law of averages one hits.

This mornings post a classic. Weve got tabs on Leeds keeper in case we lose two. Still want 10 mil for Heaton who might sign a new contract.

Re: Alan nixon
You will not find a more obnoxious prick
Anybody i mean anybody that even slightly questions his opinion gets blocked.
Calling them a Fud.
His strike rate is poor as far as Burnley is concerned.
When Coyle was manager he seemed to have the inside track
But now its very hit and miss.

Re: Alan nixon
He breaks more Burnley transfer news than anyone else.
But Bowden cant break trust and x,y and z only posts after bfc announce it officially, so dont know what more he can do.
Leave the excuses at the door, the fact is he knows more and breaks more stories that come off than any other person.

Can you name a journalist who has been more accurate about potential and actual signings, and if you can't how do you think that might be the case?joey13 wrote:
