You do know how much revenue they generate don't you - commercially it is over 20 times what we do

Why not just let everybody in for free and be done with this charging lark.

And when we get relegated where is our revenue going to come from? And it's a bit rich coming from Germany's biggest club when they know smaller clubs in the same division don't have the same commercial clout!

Can understand the sentiment, but why single out our Club to learn a lesson ?

Is there another club in the PL that charges less admission prices than us ?

I know the combined cost of my Granddaughters season ticket and mine last season was something like £357........Nothing much wrong with that.

I can’t believe Bayern are getting a kicking on here for charging £104 for a season ticket.
He’s explained that they can do it because of their commercial income. If I were a Bayern fan I’d just say thank you.

But I think there was a feeling he was also aiming that comment at other clubs in the Bundesliga, making it sound like Bayern Munich were leading a campaign for cheaper prices, where in reality he knows other don't have the same revenue streams as they do.

Just shy of £19 for the two of you to watch a game, a comparible bargain.
When you think what some people are paying to go to a gig, the theatre, or even just the cinema these days.

What lesson? I can’t see a lesson in there am I missing something?

The difference to them is nothing. To us, it most certainly IS something.

Trouble is, people see the massive sums involved in the English game, and assume it’s clear profit... £2m to us is still a considerable sum.

For me, my dad, my brother and two nephews it costs us less than £100 a month for all 5 of us.

There is a lot about German football that is better than English. There are a lot of things our club could learn. But this isn't one of them. I cant remember the last time ticket prices went up, which in essence means our prices are actually going down every year.

Our season tickets are probably the best value thing we buy and easily the best entertainment we buy. It would cost us around £100 for a day at the cinema for us all!

That quote is from about 2013.

Are their prices still low?

I think he's aiming his comments at the Arsenals spurs and Liverpool clubs really.Burnleys ticket prices seem cheaper now than in the Nineties.German football is cheap to watch though compared to our "Big Guns"

I wonder what the waiting list is and how many people can never get to see Bayern play because it is too cheap?

I’ve read that a lot of Bayern tickets are expensive anyway. That quote is 4-5 years old ffs. Also it has zero reflection on Burnley as they are a much bigger club and hence matchday revenue accounts for a much smaller proportion of their income.

Think that covers everything...

2019-20 prices are 15 - 70 Euro's for Bundesleiga games and 30 - 100 Euro's for Champions League games .... with the usual concessions.
Not sure about season tickets .....

Served 21 months from June 2014 to February 2016, after admitting tax evasion of 28.5 million Euro's, the subsequent fines apparently made a big hole in his " Trockenpulver lagern " , ( Dry powder store ! ) ;)

I was in Düsseldorf recently and looked at getting tickets for the Bundesliga game that they were playing on that weekend. Tickets were over €50 a couple of months before the fixture and eventually sold out. Not exactly as cheap as some seem to portray it.

It's a good job Bob Lord is not our current Chairman. He'd dispense with fans altogether.

Anyway, look after the millions and the billions will look after themselves.

I pay £27 a month for my season ticket. That’s less than my phone, my life insurance and my old golf club fees.

Watching Burnley is very affordable. What more do fans want?

Burnley could easily survive without any money from tickets but where will it end? Free shirts? Free programmes? Free pies?

It’s a business, and although an unusual business as they could easily charge more, the club have to charge something.

Nobody should knock the club for ticket prices

I think you'll find that ALL clubs in Germany charge a fraction of what we pay here - that's why most grounds are full every week - and they are mostly not small grounds. Clubs in this country want to keep up the 'multi-millionaire' PL league status so fleece fans accordingly. Okay it's not too bad at Burnley so we shouldn't moan but in general the price of tickets in the PL is shocking.

Cue all the 'yeah but it's the biggest league in the world' sheep.

Really. A fraction you say?

I suggest you look at their price list!

£13.50 to stand up behind the goals seems a good deal.

That's will probably be cheaper per game as a season ticket.

Stuff like this shouldn't be aimed at clubs like ours but the likes of Arsenal who charge a fortune. They like the rest of the big hitters pay well over the odds (salary wise) to most of their squad when they could charge a reasonable admission price.

You could gives clubs in the Premier League £1 Billion a season and it would still all filter its way to the players and agents.

People keep paying it though so why should they change?

That's only a small proportion of the ground though. Based on the rest of the prices the next cheapest seats are £31.50, going right up to £63 for the dearest.

Hardly cheaper than the Premier league.

It'd be great if they could charge £104
And it isn't a case of they can't, it's a case of they couldn't if we went down.
Imagine being told ST prices would be 4/5 times more expensive if we were relegated to a lower division.

The only way this could happen now is if football imploded. Less clubs, less players, less money. It's never going to happen, nor does anybody want it too. But there may well be more clubs that start going bust which could change a few things.

Just have. About half the cost on average of the PL - half is a fraction. If you want to go metric it's 50%.

Like here it depends who you are watching and (unlike here) if you want to stand (which I would always choose to do). Cheapest tickets (adult - non concession) are 15 Euros, which is not even £15. The article also states that prices have FALLEN for 5 years running. Imagine that happening in our much vaunted PL. There was a time apparently when it was actually cheaper to travel to Germany to watch a match than it was to get a ticket here. The PL is an over-priced, over-hyped money making machine.

Thought this might cause a bit of a stir.
I do believe that Premier League football is over-priced, but people are paying it, so why would they reduce it?
I'm a big fan of clubs offering cheap/free away travel though.
