House Removals Men/Man with a van..

Post by hampsteadclaret » Wed Jul 24, 2019 10:29 am

Good morning.. can anyone recommend some good honest people from the Burnley area...a man with a [largish] van would be fine as long as he's [they are] reliable, and experienced..?

I will look online of course but was looking for some personal recommendations before I pick the phone up.

Thanks.

Look up Digger Green on Facebook.
Used him a few times, always reliable and reasonably priced.

No. They work at the local dog and noodle shop

DC Removals on FB.

Used Damo for years and it’s always easy and very decently priced. Turns up on time and never had any problems.

I used Digger ages ago and personally didn’t have a great experience but I know a lot of people who have been fine with him too.

As above. Damian Conor at DC. Great lad. Hard workers. And will do a good price. We moved, not an easy job and he did it in less than half a day. Cost under £100.

"I will look on line of course.. "

There is a Nelson based company who claim to operate across a large part of the north west and have an office based either on; Fulham St, Bradley Hall rd, Smith St, all in Nelson, or in the past can even be traced to operate from a take away shop on Colne Rd !!
Should you happen to come across this company and be unfortunate to phone them and a guy called Kaz answers giving assurances about their professionalism and refers you to their "excellent" online reviews I suggest you calmly hang up, sit down and look up to the heavens, wipe the sweat from your brow and say to yourself " Sh.t that was a lucky escape."

Seriously there ain't a barge pole long enough :) . There was an old PG tips advert that had more professional characters apparently involved in removals.

I can however vouch for D C removals . Used them a couple of times in the past and they are really competitive and know what they are doing.

Used DC again today. A few years after last time. Brilliant once again.

10 out of 10. Second time I’ve used DC removals and both times it was a big job and both times they were brilliant. They were early, organised and hard working. Not only that they were quick and efficient and careful with everything. Would highly recommend once again. On top of all that a very fair price.

If you still need someone would definitely recommend them.
