Not seen these boys before and to be brutally honest it’s been a poor showing. One thing though....Jordan Croppers throw ins definitely come close to Rory Delaps throws!!

There’s the full house..... the firsts, under 23’s and under 18’s now all deemed poor in ore season friendlies..... every year people pay to watch these games that focus on fitness and are surprised they don’t really reflect the ability of the players.

The one who started in midfield is called Adam but don’t have a clue on the surname. No idea on the sub trialists.

It’s a training exercise.

Cropper can throw the ball a hell of a long way. I’d think a lot further than Delap.

Won it 1-0.

Captain Anthony Glennon was there watching tonight. Believe he’s close to going out on loan.

He didn't say they were poor players, just that they are playing poorly tonight. You can still judge how well they are playing, even in a pre-season friendly; it's just important to realise that being poor in a pre-season friendly means very little.

I’ve no idea. I’m aware of a couple others set to go out on loan, one to a league club and one to the National League but don’t know about Glennon.

Good to see that FL clubs are starting to regularly take interest in our players on loan. Shows that we’ve definitely progressed in that area.

Fitness game aside I wasn’t impressed with Mumbongo. He didn’t seem to be able to impose himself on the game. That said it looked like he went into trees behind the the sideline after being subbed on what looked like to throw up. Then he limped off when crossing the pitch at full time. So a hard night for him.

Thought our back four all played well. Solid as a unit.
Richardson looked lively in a 10 minute cameo.

I'd gone for a walk round when Mumbongo came off. Have to say I was impressed how easily he strode over the perimeter fence when he went towards the bushes. I thought he'd gone for the obvious reason but there was some concern for his welfare from the subs and a couple of the backroom staff. Whether he had a problem all night, I don't know, but he didn't really impress.

Hi Dan,

Battling to make my 11-year-old understand that, Dan. I'll get there!

Hey Ecc - good to hear - it's the right lesson to leave him with.... I've never seen anybody comment positively on a pre season game. Save your brass for the proper stuff.
