It looks superb but it might get a bit fresh for night games down near the water.

I hope they choose Accrington brick, I work there.
Re: New Everton Stadium
Makes me fear the day when Premier League membership criteria includes a stadium of 50,000 plus.

Re: New Everton Stadium
Looking at forecasts for sea level rises I wouldn't be spending £500,000 never mind £500,000,000 in this location.

Lets hope the away fans get a decent view and have proper access to all tickets not like the current allocation fiasco

Got to feel sorry for Stockport County ... they will lose the accolade of being the closest football ground to the River Mersey

Everton are going to invest in the goodison area despite moving. Think there will be a big community thing in its place.bfcjg wrote:The goodison area is a sh1thole and it's only saving grace for local shops etc is the ground, it will get even worse now

Looking at how past predictions have failed, I'd reckon they might get a few years use out of it.Oshkoshclaret wrote:Looking at forecasts for sea level rises I wouldn't be spending £500,000 never mind £500,000,000 in this location.

It's probably the perfect stadium to follow.box_of_frogs wrote:Looks like Spurs’ new place to me.
It says they like the big single tier stand at Spurs and didn't want to end up with fans being far away from the pitch like West Ham.

Is there even a minimum capacity now?

Re: New Everton Stadium
Nope, just certain things are required and clubs get a year to sort some of them, others are an instant requirement like goal line tech, camera stanchions etc.Winstonswhite wrote:It’ll never happen.

VAR will probably be an instant requirement too.
Disabled facilities etc is also something we were given a non-negotiable timescale to improve them by.
That's something that's usually missed/ignored by people when they're demanding to know where the money is spent by the club, or why the club aren't buying X amount of players.
We had to move our tunnel to where it is now as part of being in the PL if I remember rightly.
Re: New Everton Stadium
I don't think it will bring in the revenue the club did though. Once they have gone the token gestures will slowly diminish and it will become a council project.cricketfieldclarets wrote:Everton are going to invest in the goodison area despite moving. No its not.bfcjg wrote:The goodison area is a sh1thole and it's only saving grace for local shops etc is the ground, it will get even worse now
Re: New Everton Stadium
I doubt it. The PL are more interested in selling TV right, not filling grounds. They wouldn't want a load of half empty stadiums being shown around the world.COBBLE wrote:Makes me fear the day when Premier League membership criteria includes a stadium of 50,000 plus.
Re: New Everton Stadium
Erm Bournemouth are the lowest ever capacity at 11250 I think and they are still there......Winstonswhite wrote:It’ll never happen.
