Jared Bowen
Jared Bowen
Just a quick mention about Hull City's Jared Bowen. I have two colleagues who have supported Hull through thick and thin. I mentioned Bowen to them and they are both of the opinion that he is too slow for the Premier League and has had one decent season. Maybe he's not the ' Knight in shining armour' that a lot on here thought he would be. I'm not saying that speed is everything but Glen Little had the skill but not the pace to crack the top division. Most of the Premier defenders are a bit too wily for Bowen to cause any damage. Still a youngish lad I suppose, but I'd hate us to waste the money on him when there's better quality out there in our price bracket.

Sounds like just the deal for us.

I’m not disputing what you’re saying, I genuinely don’t know too much about the lad and have only seen odd highlights.

Re: Jared Bowen
We can all have an opinion on who is fast enough to play in the premier league but all players wear vests these days with all that information recorded.
Re: Jared Bowen
Lots of Burnley fans don't rate Chris Wood though, despite him scoring 10 goals at this level the past 2 seasons and having to feed off scraps most of the time.

Re: Jared Bowen
Glen Little couldnt make it? I am sure when he got his chance at Pompey he more than held his own in the top division. Whenever I saw him play for Pompey, which was every time they were on TV as he was and is still my fave ever Burnley player he impressed. I think it was against AC Milan where he was by far the best player on the pitchKitch1966 wrote:Just a quick mention about Hull City's Jared Bowen. Re: Jared Bowen
I'd forgot he played for Pompey too. Wikipediea says he did though so that's good enough for me, all of 5 games, but it does highlight the role in played in the Milan game mentioned further upSirAlec wrote:Thought Glenn played for reading?
