Black..

Post by fatboy47 » Fri Jul 26, 2019 9:10 pm

...puddings with mushy peas....

Is that a reaonable snack to offer my supper guests tomorrow evening?...or does it have to be pie and peas...

If it is suitable, whats the best way to cook the puds...fried in dripping or some kind of oven-baked deal?

A friend of mine scored some of Mary Chadwicks best pudds and sent them to me this week....in case you though I was trying to get away with some crappy slices of poncy southern dogsh1t.

Fried in bacon fat.

Get shut of the mushy peas and replace with a poached egg.

Definitely boiled whole if the kidney shaped traditional ones, offer malt vinegar, English mustard and salt.

Made me crave them now, all I can get down south is slices of bury blackpudding , just not the same.

Bon appetite

Maybe, but sticking a bottle of brown sauce on the table would make it less so (got to have a little smidgeon of brown sauce with black pudding). :)

Black pudding and scallops with slithers of crispy bacon in a creamy mustard sauce. Heaven.
