Harry Arter swop for Joe Hart?
Eddie needs a keeper we need a centre mid
Arter plays for Republic of Ireland and can slot in quickly
Weve no money(apparently) so a swop may be an option

Re: Harry Arter swop for Joe Hart?
Being potless would take some explaining, given our recent annual accounts....it's a bit baffling that our own punters think we are.
We probably have more cash in hand than at least half the Prem clubs.

We’ve got no money, like Arsenal have no arsenal or a £40m transfer budget limit.

Nah it isn't a great swap in my opinion.
Also I'd rather us go with what we have if it means keeping the season tickets frozen next season, and are posting good healthy profits again next year.
The club is only able to continue to do all its fantastic work, and is able to give so much back purely because of our sensible work in the transfer market, I'd rather it stay like that.

He's a decent player and would probably be a good swap, always find Arter a dislikable lad on the pitch, bit of a dick for Cardiff last year.
Re: Harry Arter swop for Joe Hart?
If we weren't in for him last season when Cardiff did the loan deal then doubt we will go for him this year
However, desperate times means desperate measures

Re: Harry Arter swop for Joe Hart?
We are skint and need to cut our spending to suit our pauper staus.
Before you react to this idea let me explain
Other clubs are either oil rich or backed by Eastern europeans/Chinese with bottomless pockets
Therefore to me playet exchanges may be the way to go

I’d rather keep Joe Hart and play him in midfield.

Re: Harry Arter swop for Joe Hart?
I sincerely hope we wouldn't be considering a move for Arter - and in any case, isn't he going to Fulham?

Re: Harry Arter swop for Joe Hart?
Interesting could turn out to be another master signing by SD .. remember Joey Barton anyone?
Re: Harry Arter swop for Joe Hart?
Just isn’t good enough is he? Literally no better than Cork, will be 30 before mid-season.
Would be a pointless acquisition.

That's a bit unfair on cork. He's not as good as Cork by a long shot.SGr wrote:Just isn’t good enough is he? Literally no better than Cork, will be 30 before mid-season.

And his taking out of Joe Allen in the final qualifying game for the World Cup was a key moment, as we (Wales) were all over them until that point. Cost us a shot at a play-off place.

Re: Harry Arter swop for Joe Hart?
Well if David James can play up front for Man City then no reason Hart can't play in our midfieldTricky Trevor wrote:I’d rather keep Joe Hart and play him in midfield.

Never said he wasn’t - but at that age I’d expect him to be an instant upgrade as opposed to someone who can “develop”timshorts wrote:That's a bit unfair on cork. He's not as good as Cork by a long shot.
