Re: Nice thread
Rubbish from Hart ffs
Re: Nice thread
He's one of our own.
Re: Nice thread
Not surprised it’s Saint Maximin with the goal, virtually Nice’s entire squad throughout the game
Re: Nice thread
Hart's a really good keeper you know.

Re: Nice thread
Does Vydra have a knock? Or is it curtains?
Can’t see why Wells would get any minutes ahead of him unless he is carrying a knock or on the verge of leaving ?!
Surely Wells isn’t being considered he simply isn’t good enough.

Was also Burnley 9 Glentoran 1 - friendly match 4 October 1960. Scorers were Andy Lochhead 5, Jimmy Robson, Gordon Harris + 2ogs. 5-0 at HT. I was there.

Me too. Programme was a single sheet ( like reserve prog). Think we played GB Olympic X1 same season ?Aquarian wrote:Was also Burnley 9 Glentoran 1 - friendly match 4 October 1960. Scorers were Andy Lochhead 5, Jimmy Robson, Gordon Harris + 2ogs. 5-0 at HT. I was there.

Pieters or Taylor to start left back? I am a fan of Taylor, but this fella looks good, both at back and going forward.

Re: Nice thread
As mentioned earlier...clearly weren't playing against much but very pleasing to see us knock the ball about with confidence.
Thought Pieters looked good and played a few good passes into the strikers. My man of the match was Hendrick...thought he had a superb game in the middle of the park alongside Westwood

Re: Nice thread
Surely the only possible reasons for Vydra not coming on instead of Wells was a clear message to him to go?
Ridiculous, he should be given game time. No idea what Sean is playing at.

Bizarre what's going on with Vydra. He must be on his way out. There's no other explanation for it.

It sounds like it all started coming together tonight. I’m very pleased and, I have to admit, very relieved after the sh!t show I witnessed at Gresty Road.

Sat in the Bob Lord for a change, Dyche giving someone in the dugout a right mouthful just before Wells came on...whoever's was sat in the far right of the dugout looking from the BL was getting it.

Re: Nice thread
A real shame for Matej Vydra. Golden boot in championship. £15 million quid and can’t get a game for love nor money. Would have loved the lad to at least be given a chance, but it’s very clear that something has occurred and he will never play for Burnley. So I hope Burnley do the decent thing and let the lad go and play elsewhere. Oh, and let him go cheap.....it’s not his fault. Our club have probably destroyed him....never gonna go for £15 million to anyone now.

Re: Nice thread
Good performance tonight. Hendrick made a good impression at cm, wood has to start next week. I'm still not liking lennon, can't see what he brings to the team, he doesn't beat his man and is hardly ever on the wing .
Re: Nice thread
Probably Vydra. He no doubt won't have been happy that Wells got on instead of him. He had warmed up with Jay but then sat back down.ewanrob wrote:Sat in the Bob Lord for a change, Dyche giving someone in the dugout a right mouthful just before Wells came on...whoever's was sat in the far right of the dugout looking from the BL was getting it.
Re: Nice thread
Got to agree hendrick was good tonight in a central midfield role along with westwood and think that should be the starting pair
