Jarrod Bowen
George Honeyman to Hull pretty much done.
Does that free up Bowen to join Burnley?

Re: Jarrod Bowen
Wishful thinking.

Re: Jarrod Bowen
Did I not read on here somewhere that he is considered by the Hull fans as pants ?
Or am I making it up ?

Re: Jarrod Bowen
My mate who supports Hull raves about this guy but then my next door neighbour who also supports Hull as his second team says he is pants.

Re: Jarrod Bowen
Don’t think we’ve even been linked with him bar some tenuous ‘Burnley scout Bowen’ comment about 6 months ago.
No chance we will stump up £20m for a winger when we desperately need a midfielder.

The same mentality as posters on here who think getting rid of your captain to a rival is fineFunkydrummer wrote:Did I not read on here somewhere that he is considered by the Hull fans as pants ?

Re: Jarrod Bowen
I think he won supporters player of the year last season so i reckon a few of them must rate him
Re: Jarrod Bowen
The answer to that is probably the same as ‘will Cabellos to Arsenal free up Granit Xhaka to join Burnley’
I don’t believe we’ve been linked with him either, although it would be nice

Re: Jarrod Bowen
Would you rather we gave him away at the end of the season ?joey13 wrote:The same mentality as posters on here who think getting rid of your captain to a rival is fine
Shades of Ings again which would mean that the club had learned nothing.
Best of a bad situation I'm afraid.
Re: Jarrod Bowen
We’d have to sell another 3 players before we can afford him!

Re: Jarrod Bowen
Unlikely
Re: Jarrod Bowen
Well we certainly need a replacement for D4
Re: Jarrod Bowen
Can’t see it this late on. I didn’t expect Hull to be as stubborn so far as they have been given their ownership, but a centre mid has to be priority, a right winger is a secondary issue which genuinely can wait.

You don’t sell to a relegation rival , basic reallyFunkydrummer wrote:Would you rather we gave him away at the end of the season ?

Re: Jarrod Bowen
Sort of player we should be after but we're already well stocked in that position.

Its always "this late on"Often missing out due to mauling about early in the window looking for late bargains
This is how we got Sordell Juke and Wells

Re: Jarrod Bowen
First off I don't think he was making a statement of fact as much as asking a question so to question his 'mentality' is a tad wrong don't you think? Secondly if Heaton were to leave wouldn't he have always gone to a PL club, all of which are rivals, so that is a bit of an invalid point to make. If you are assuming the 'relegation rivals' tag then you are making assumptions about both clubs before a ball is kicked, which is also a little presumptuous.joey13 wrote:The same mentality as posters on here who think getting rid of your captain to a rival is fine
I think you need to get over the Heaton thing - we still have good keepers, especially Pope, who was so good when Heaton was injured we didn't even miss him. If Pope is as good as he was when he came in for Heaton it is simply 8m profit for the club. Did you really imagine that with two keepers of the calibre of Heaton and Pope they would both stay? Goalkeeping is a specialist job and there is only ever one position, which will always be taken by the best one. Good goalkeepers are at a premium and if an international goalkeeper isn't getting a game he will leave. Heaton didn't want to be here any more so it was a no-brainer for the club, get 8m for a player who doesn't want to be here safe in the knowledge that you have excellent cover and if you tried to hang on to him he'd go for f*ck all in a year.

Re: Jarrod Bowen
Hull fan i work with said he'd be a decent signing for a bottom-mid table top flight team. Said he was a cut above for them last seasonFunkydrummer wrote:Did I not read on here somewhere that he is considered by the Hull fans as pants ?

Go easy on him, his still mourning Huddersfield getting relegated.houseboy wrote:First off I don't think he was making a statement of fact as much as asking a question so to question his 'mentality' is a tad wrong don't you think?
