VHS to DVD or MP4 cpnversion

Post by cricketfieldclarets » Wed Jul 31, 2019 11:51 pm

Dug out a big collection of family videos from the 90s and need to convert these to DVD and or MP4 and or something else. Previously used a shop in town but I remember it being around £15 a copy and there are tonnes.

anyone recommend a product or service I can use? Will probably only need it for these particular cassettes (around 20) but need to do it sooner rather than later.

Obviously tonnes online but don't want to ruin them!

Thanks in advance

There's a place in bury market, sure it's only £5 per dvd. I'll have a look tomorrow

How to do it

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sn_TDa9zY1c" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Hardware

https://www.amazon.co.uk/slp/vhs-to-dig ... bywcep4vsw" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?LH_Au ... t=0&_oac=1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

and obviously a VCR or camera if you no longer have one.

You’re a k-nob for timing ... I threw away a vcr/dvd recorder combo about 3 weeks ago that had been gathering dust for ages ..... you could have had it as it had that function on it.

try brians tv and electrical near rose and crown on manchester road. He converted some tapes to dvd for me for about a fiver,
Once in dvd format use free software called handbrake to covert them to mp4 video, You can download that for free.

This guy is in ramsbottom, charges £5.5 on eBay but might be cheaper in person

Thank you. That solves a problem I’ve had.
