The opposition could come into play, I guess. Barnes is more of a bully, so could depend on the opposing central pairing.

Great run from Wells. Should have taken the shot on, opted to pass and it fizzled out.

Sounds to me like Vydra is now 5th choice and SD wants Wells to get minutes to prepare for the season.

More to take from this one than midweek I’d say, Parma threatened and defended well for periods of the game, wasn’t a straightforward paddling as it was for Nice.

Good result.

Wells must have benefited from his spell at QPR.
The amount of game time Vydra has had, considering he's fit , looks like his days are numbered.
He must have had a fall out with SD a shame for him and us, but you have to back the manager.

Urinal number one in the CFS still blocked, tap in sink number one still runs for ten minutes after activating.

Other than that, smashing day out. ;)

Vydra must be off, and wells played relatively well when he came on although I’m not convinced he’s upto the level we require. When Vydra leaves I hope we replace him

In his post match interview Dyche was talking about making sure everyone had the minutes on the pitch throughout the preseason.

Said that Barnes and Westwood had had the most so that’s why didn’t start them.

Vydra must be at the bottom

Good to see Pope in the sticks. Nick commands his area far more than Heaton does
Heaton was an excellent captain and goalie, although he lacked height
Top class goalies need to be 6'4" plus in todays game

I thought there Kick off routine in the second half was quite funny when Pope realised what they were trying, its fair to say his afterburners kicked in to get back

Yep agree. I always thought Tom was a bit small and recently starting to carry too much timber.... He got man of the match in Villa's friendly today though.

Anybody notice that, on at least one occassion that I noticed, we were allowed to put 2 men in their defensive wall ?

Despite them having more than 3 men in the wall.

I didn't go today but can someone who did go please explain how on earth we kept a clean sheet with two left footed centre halves? Ludicrous.....

Obviously they had left footed forwards.
And then obviously the time difference from Italy was a factor.
