Seeing this link reminded me of my late Mother in Law.

We had gone round for a visit she was about 85 at the time, and she regaled us with a tale about her knee problem.
She had apparently been looking under the sink for something and found a can of WD40, wondering what it was she read the back of the can, she saw the immortal words "Frees stiff joints" she had then sprayed some on her knee and massaged it in... She swore her knee was a lot better afterwards.

We struggled to stifle stupid grins and laughter... she continued to use this remedy until her dying day.
She made 94

Perhaps it does work!!!!

I used to work in a bar who would spray it on the toilet seats and basins etc .....

When it has some substances put into it they just dissolve- seeing people come out of the toilets baffled as to why their £50 worth of candy had just disappeared was brilliant

If your headlights have gone dull, spray some on them and buff them up with paper kitchen towel.

There are far better and cheaper products than WD40 out there. Wurth Ultra 2040 being one. Far superior product.. Ir's what they used on the Top Gear Hilux when they pulled it out of the sea although they credited it as WD40.

Carrying a beermat into the toilets usually meant the bouncers followed so it wasn’t too smart either tbh.

As kids, we used to spray a can of WD40 through the supplementary, clip-on red plastic nozzle and put a match to it. It made a brilliant flame thrower! Important to avoid 'blowback' though...

Used to use it on my bike chain all the time - really good and no rust at all. By the way call me odd (even though that's not my name) but does anyone else love the smell of it? It's right up there with tarmac and new mown grass for me.
