I think the most I've ever won at anything is about £450, then again I don't really gamble that much. I only put the lottery or euro millions on after a crap week

Most I’ve won was £168 for 4 numbers, that was exceeded by my best man on my wedding night - all of a sudden drinks at the bar needed no cash for anyone as he noted he’d got 5 numbers and won £8500 - which was nice

Re: Winning the Lottery
3 large for 5 numbers.
Gutted to have both the 6th number and the bonus on a 2nd line (altho it did win me a tenner on top). I thought what I won was extremely low but in fact it was more than any of the previous draws had been by about a grand.
The jackpot was over 3m and. The 5+1 was over £100k....
Nevermind, that 50 mil will be mine tonight

Re: Winning the Lottery
When did it go to £2 a draw? 6 years ago?
Think I’ve won (saved) £1,248 then
Though I never check the results, can still remember the numbers. I’d be sick.

About 7 years ago I won £1,635 for 5 correct numbers but also had number 48 for my bonus ball and number 49 was drawn out.
The pay out for 5 correct numbers and bonus ball 49 was £148,000

Is 5 numbers not just £1750?
I know a guy who won that recently and he was fairly sure that is just the standard payout

Re: Winning the Lottery
It's hilarious reading about it being a "fools tax" etc by someone so proud of himself that by saving a couple of quid a week not playing it that he has somehow "got one over" on life!
Honestly, how cheap/miserable/poor/boring do you have to be to not be able to chuck a few quid a week at it?

Re: Winning the Lottery
I win £25 quid every 4 weeks or so. Without fail.
How do I do that ...
I don't do the Lottery ...
I used to do 3 lines religeously (same numbers every week) as soon as they upped it to 59 numbers from 49 and £2 a line I said b*****ks to that and haven't done the lottery since so I save 6 quid a week
So in the past 6 (or so) years since they altered it I have saved £1800+ which is like having your 3 numbers come up every 3 weeks
Funnily enough the masochist in me looks at the lottery lines in the paper on a Sunday, and the best I would have done in the past 6 years is about 3 numbers four times and 4 numbers once.
OK maybe one day our numbers might come up but its 1 in 45,057,474* so am not holding out any fears
* When it was a £1 a line it was 1 in 14,000,000 with 49 balls
I give direct to local charities instead where I know 100% of my money goes to them and not 60% into the pockets of Camelot .....

Re: Winning the Lottery
I won £609.00 the other week for 4 numbers as it was a roll down week but as I hadn't put my glasses on I told my wife we had won £285000 which was the total prize fund for 4 numbers.
I was in the dog house shortly afterwards

Re: Winning the Lottery
Well, I had a 1 in 3 chance of getting cancer and a 1 in 16,000,000,000 chance of the rare form i had. With those odds, the lottery odds are pretty good, hence i keep going (and will win this week!)Bosscat wrote:I win £25 quid every 4 weeks or so. Without fail.
