The hope there is that he has played for Dyche at Watford and therefore both know the expectations and commitmentsVegas Claret wrote:potentially the highest quality signing the club has made in a very long time, a lot will depend on which DD turns up

Do you really think Dyche is arsed what some balloons on the internet think ?

The best thing about our 'cards close to the chest' style of transfer negotiation is that said balloons will never know the answer to their pointless question...

DD has past his medical.
Let’s hope gets across the line.

Re: Transfer Deadline Day
If he's come for a medical then we must be relatively close.
Probably still haggling about how much of his 100k a week salary we or Chelsea
wish to pay?
We should offer Chelsea 2m loan fee and agree to pay 40k a week.
That would leave Chelsea having to pay about 20k a week.
And cost us about 4m for the season.
Sounds pretty reasonable to me for a experienced player albeit he
hasn't played regularly for a while.

Aaron Mooy has signed a new 3 year contract at Huddersfield, and also agreed to a year-long loan to Brighton. Odd one.

Maybe some insurance for if BHA get relegated & Hudd get promoted? A permanent move now to BHA would look a bad decision if that happened. Maybe there's some sort of agreement that Brighton have an option to buy if that isnt the scenario?Aaron Mooy has signed a new 3 year contract at Huddersfield, and also agreed to a year-long loan to Brighton. Re: Transfer Deadline Day
From the BBC:
"Huddersfield Head Coach Jan Siewert said: “Aaron was adamant that he wanted to test himself again in the Premier League when Brighton’s interest came in, and we didn’t want an issue where we had a disillusioned player on the pitch in the final year of his contract.
“We had to look after the interests of Huddersfield Town and couldn’t let him leave on a free at the end of the season, so him signing a new contract ahead of his loan move gives the Club and the player possibilities for the future.
“Good luck to him at Brighton this season.”

Is this DD another we got close but no cigar.
Just tempting us fans that we were actually going to sign him.
Come on BFC, get this done.

Re: Transfer Deadline Day
It's been a good transfer window in hindsight, I didn't want Heaton to go but I understand it. Keeping Tarkowski is a big plus and now with Drinkwater signing we have the strength we needed in the middle.

Re: Transfer Deadline Day
We haven't lost Tarky, McNeill or anyone else who we may have struggled to replace at short notice. That alone makes it a decent window in my eyes.
Picking up Rodriguez, Pieters and (assuming it ever gets confirmed) Drinkwater are solid signings.
Pretty pleased overall.

One holding the shirt which is very fake
One wearing the shirt which looks real
Although the one I’ve just seen holding the shirt is VERY REAL
