Massive game for Colne tomorrow up at Dunston. Best hope is probably get a draw and get them back up Holt House, preferably in horrible conditions.

Great win for Colne, 3-2. Conference sides in now, and just one more win may mean Sunderland coming to Holt House!!!!!

Great win for Colne is that! When it was 2-2 thought best chance was hanging on for a replay. Hope for a good draw in the next round.

4th Qualifying draw takes place tomorrow at 1:30pm live on Talksport.

Torn between wanting Colne to get a big tie at home against a Wrexham/Barnet/Chesterfield type side for a good chance for it to be on TV or to get the easiest tie possible to get through to the 1st Round Proper.

Hopefully get a home draw but one they've realistically got a chance of winning. With Burnley playing away at Leicester that day there's be able to get a big crowd as well.

Colne FC

They won yesterday to get in the last qualifying round of the FA cup. Just one more win and they go into the first round.

How good would that be for them?

. suspects Claret Wardy will become Colne’s biggest fan again for a couple of weeks until they are knocked out.

Massive ask given that they're probably gonna have to beat a team from the Conference or Conference North now. Even if they don't get any further it will have been a good money spinner for them. Hopefully get a home draw and a full house in the next round.

I'm fairly sure they entered at the Preliminary qualifying round stage, won, and have won at the 1st, 2nd and 3rd qualifying round stage. They've already won over £25,000 in prize money, even if they get no further ...

Amazing result for them yesterday. Would be fantastic if they could get to the first round.

Darlo progressed again.
They've been banned from the competition ever since they got kicked down the league I'm still not sure why they were banned when other clubs in similar circumstances weren't.

Not a great draw for Colne really. Don't Gateshead play in the athletics stadium as well? So not even an enjoyable ground to visit.

Perusing the FA Cup fixtures the AFC Fylde vs Peterborough Sports caught my eye. I thought they were in the lowly United Counties league but they are not any more. They are now in the Southern League Premier after three promotions in four years. Nicknamed the "Turbines" because they are formerly the works team of Peter Brotherhood in Peterborough whom I am sure you know, designed and manufactured the first steam turbine. PB are still going strong today and currently help to sponsor the team.

With AFC struggling a bit this season, could an upset be on the cards, even though they are two steps below the Fylde club who may be concentrating on staying in the Vanarama National as their priority?

Big one for Colne this weekend as well over at Gateshead who are mid tabling in the Vanarama North.

Best of luck to both teams. I am looking forward to either team drawing Ipswich Town.

With my eldest daughter (who lives in Coppull), we are off to Victory Park to watch Chorley at home in the FA Cup to Spennymoor Town. Chorley are struggling in the National League following their promotion last season, while Spennymoor are around mid-table in one league below. Weather really good (so far) so looking forward to a good day out.

Hope Chorley do better than last season when we went to Southport to watch them in a league game!! The game was so 'well-attended' that they ran out of programmes about half an hour before kick-off :o ).

Gateshead 5 - 0 Colne FT. Colne had a great run and will have earnt some good prize money. Time to concentrate on the league now, there'll fancy their chances of getting in the play offs I think.

Three late defensive errors made the score sound a lot worse than it was. Basically Gateshead were stronger in defence and a lot more efficient at scoring. Apart from that, it was an even game! :P

Just returned from a " do " at your beloved Colne CC .... a round of 2 pints of Lager Shandy, a glass of Rose, a diet coke and a bottled water was £8.10, I humbly suggest there is some scope for price increases, especially for private functions. These days, that's ridiculously cheap ....

There will be rejoicing in the Essex marshlands yesterday and there will be a spring in the step of the workforce at the jam factory tomorrow morning as Maldon & Tiptree are in the hat for the FA CUP first round draw for the very first time. The towns are eight miles apart and were amalgamated after a take over of Maldon by the Tiptree chairman.

I am wondering if I have alighted on a defining cultural difference between the north and south? As I trawl through the cup results I see that Bowers & Pitsea, Havant & Waterlooville plus Hayes & Yeading also feature. Plus there is Finchley & Wingate as well, not to mention Brighton & Hove Albion and formerly Bournemouth & Boscombe Athletic, however I can't think of a single northern club that represents two different places.

Can anyone explain this phenomenon?

Are you actually complaining that the drinks are cheap?

Decent chance of an upset up there I'd say the way Oldham are struggling.

Gateshead 1 Oldham 2 - so we move into round 2 with ex-Clarets Chris McCann & Chris Eagles at Oldham.

But the mighty Colne are still moving to Wembley in the FA Trophy - 3-1 over Buxton on Saturday. :D Third qualifying round next. The 8 league games in hand are becoming an interesting challenge ...

Missed this last week with the board down but Oldham were beaten by Burton so we go with them into the 3rd round.

They have drawn Northampton.

Thought I'd give this a bump. Burton hosting Northampton on Sunday in the 3rd round.

Northampton pulled off a minor shock 4-2 win away at Burton in the 3rd Round.

Tomorrow night we'll be following Northampton at home to Derby on BT Sport.
