Drinkwater would be a good addition to the midfield. Hope this loan deal comes off.

I'm really shocked that Brady and Defour aren't going to be fit

Is it public knowledge about what Defours injury is? Do we even know the body part affected?

I’m not sure. It’s possible that it has been announced and I’ve missed it. Such a waste of a career that he’s not been able to shake it off presuming that it’s always the same injuryClaretTony wrote:Isn't it a calf injury?
Re: ARTICLE: Brady and Defour update with a bit of Drinkwater and Wells
Is there a case for trying to come to some sort of agreement with Defour and paying his contract up? It's highly unlikely he's going to play for us again.

Re: ARTICLE: Brady and Defour update with a bit of Drinkwater and Wells
"Defour though is, unfortunately, not close to a return. Dyche confirmed it was more long term and admitted it wasn’t going to be a matter of just weeks before the Belgian is fit."
When was the last time Defour actually played a game? The longer this goes on, the more it is sounding like he won't play again. He has gone from a niggle, to needing a bit more time before he is on the grass to it being longer than weeks before he is fit.

Re: ARTICLE: Brady and Defour update with a bit of Drinkwater and Wells
When everyone is fit pick a midfield four from, Drinkwater, Westwood, Cork, Defour, Hendrick, Lennon, McNeil, JBG, Brady or go 4 3 3 and select a front 3 from Wood, Barnes JayRod, Lennon, JBG and Brady. Drinkwater (if confirmed) and JayRod add many options for SD to select six in front of the back 4. All is not gloomy. UTC
Re: ARTICLE: Brady and Defour update with a bit of Drinkwater and Wells
I wonder if Defour is suffering mentally after the loss of his father. Either way, it’s tragic that we haven’t seen more from him.

Isn't it about time that we changed long term to terminal?ClaretTony wrote:Two out injured for Saturday, one short term and one long term

Can't wait for mess'rs Brady and defour to be off the wage bill, hazard a guess both of them have been injured 2/3rd's of the time they've been with us, along with Mr Hart is quite possibly costing in the region of at least 120k a week in wages, roll on the time when we can replace with players that can give us something on the pitch.
