Re: Breaking news Twix can now be bought contactless...
I posted this last week, was in operation for the two friendlies.
Not sure whether Apple Pay will accept more than £30 and it's not something I would be wanting to put to the test.

Apple Pay will accept whatever is the amount is, the only limits in place are put there by the vendor.ClaretTony wrote:I posted this last week, was in operation for the two friendlies.

Tesco's petrol stations have a limit near me of £30 I heard recently, but the local BP doesn't have any limit and I've seen people pay well in excess of £30 with Apple pay.
Re: Breaking news Twix can now be bought contactless...
Because Apple Pay isn’t the same as a card contactless due to the transaction being authorised by the phone owner via biometrics / codeGodIsADeeJay81 wrote:Apple Pay will accept whatever is the amount is, the only limits in place are put there by the vendor.

I wouldn't if I were you Tony, if you are searched and found to be in possession of a twix, single or twin pack you are risking a lengthy ban. Twix MUST be purchased inside the Stadium.ClaretTony wrote:I meant I won't be spending money there either cash, card or phone.

About time. Looks like the club have taken note of the fans though which is a good thing. This despite some people saying that there isn’t a demand for card payments on the Turf.
Apple Pay is great. It’s brilliant being able to have your train tickets, boarding passes and debit/credit cards on your phone

The Tesco store in Burnley has a £30 limit with Apple Pay but it's the only place I've tried to use it that's not allowed it over £30.GodIsADeeJay81 wrote:Apple Pay will accept whatever is the amount is, the only limits in place are put there by the vendor.

Re: Breaking news Twix can now be bought contactless...
We've pushed for it when we've had meetings with the club because so many people want to pay that way now. I know there is a cost but I'm convinced they will get extra sales by having contactless.Rileybobs wrote:About time. Looks like the club have taken note of the fans though which is a good thing. Using a twix on the Turf to wipe the floor is almost as extravagant as cleaning your bum with £50 notes.Steve1956 wrote:Do they sell red label Bounty bars on the Turf, best chocolate bar ever made they wipe the floor with Twix.

Re: Breaking news Twix can now be bought contactless...
The following is taken from the FA ground requirements.JohnDearyMe wrote:Still got the hot water issue to resolve
2. SPECTATOR FACILITIES
2.4 Toilets
There must be adequate toilet facilities for men and women in each area of the ground commensurate
with the capacity of that area in accordance with the Green Guide.
A minimum of two units of toilet facilities must be provided located in two separate areas within the
ground, excluding those located in the clubhouse, or accessible only from within the main stand. Each
unit to contain the minimum of:-
Male: 4 - urinals or equivalent and two WC’s
Female: 2 - WCs
In addition, there must be hand wash basins with running water, warm air hand driers and/or paper
towel dispenser and waste bins in each toilet area. Whilst replaceable linen roller towels in a cabinet
are acceptable, individual hand towels are not permitted
All toilet areas must be in working order, with a roof and operational lighting, supplied with toilet paper
and maintained to the highest level of cleanliness.
These facilities may be of a temporary or mobile kind but must be connected to the mains supply (ie
water and power) and main drainage or an acceptable alternative drainage system.
They must be fully accessible with permanent access.
Individual toilet units often known as 'portaloos' are permissible on a temporary basis but may not be
included in the minimum toilet requirements.
Clubs are recommended to refer to the guidelines in respect of new toilet installations as set out in the
Football Stadia Advisory Design Council publication.
The location of all toilet facilities must be indicated with appropriate signage
No where does it specify hot water ... perhaps Elf n Safety won't allow "hot" water in case of scalding......
In addition here is Eufa's take on toilets
Article 22 Sanitary facilities for spectators
22.01 A sufficient number of clean and hygienic sanitary facilities must be distributed
evenly throughout all sectors based on an 80:20 ratio of men to women.
Seated toilets and urinals must be equipped with flushes. Sinks and toilet paper and soap
dispensers must be provided and firmly fixed in place.
22.02 The minimum requirements for sanitary facilities are as follows:
a. 1 seated toilet per 250 men;
b. 1 urinal per 125 men;
c. 1 seated toilet per 125 women.
Again does not specify hot water

Cold water is just as good at washing your hands as hot water provided you use soap.
