That's it - busy day over

Post by ClaretTony » Thu Aug 08, 2019 9:23 pm

I'm standing down :D - I think that's the phrase.

No more incomings and no more outgoings today, and the final deal of the day has just gone through with Alex Iwobi finally signing for Everton.

All the signings are at

Not at all - although he could still sign of course for us or anyone else being a free agent.

Only wrote two that weren't used - one was Ruslan Malinovskyi and the other was Dael Fry.

Been busy all day at work. Only had time to glance at the Transfer/Links thread. Seems a lot are in melt down.

Did we not get enough for Tarks? Did we fail to get anyone in in CM? Is Popey injured again?

Did the roof come off the dry powder store - and we've realised it's empty?

Or did someone win the lottery and discover it wasn't the biggest prize ever, only the second biggest?

I look forward to catching up in the morning - and the start of the new Premier League for Burnley on Saturday. I guess we are relegation favourites, again. ;)

where's the "It's all been a disaster" button. ;)

No, seriously, I'm sure Joe Hart is a good reserve to Nick Pope.

Out of curiosity, how close did we get to Malinovskyi? Fee agreed with the club but not the player?

Good enough to help Pope warm up pre-match.
