Andy Carroll looking forward to resuming his 'career' at Newcastle United !! How many games will he play during the season ? My guess is not more than 10 given his average number of appearances in the last 18 seasons of 14.5....

They have a manager who knows what he's doing! ;)

I'm surprised Carroll passed the medical tbh!

It's the club that fits. He will storm the prem, next season. He is their Joey Barton.

Carroll and Almiron together if they stay fit is a tad frightening tbh

Im gonna stick my neck out and predict he makes more league starts this season for Newcastle than Walters, Wells and Vydra have done for Burnley combined

Pay as you play apparently.

He'll be fit as a fiddle.

I’m gonna stick my neck out and say less than 5.

At least this thread gives another opportunity for digs at the few players that have not hit the mark. I would rather they didn’t play if the boss thinks they are not up to it....It’s not as if the profit on one player (Tarky, for example) hasn’t paid for those 3 duds that you mention.....

What profit on Tarky? Have I missed something?

Almiron is absolute dog turd!!!! A striker that doesnt score goals. Well he does in that joke of a league MLS where Wright-Phillips bangs them in for fun

You're basing that off 10 games? In a new league, in a new country, in a new continent? 10 games.

You're a joke.

I feel VAR will not do him any favours, red cards and goals chalked off could be a theme.

What manager in his right mind would sign someone with his injury record.

He was free wasn’t he? Hardly a risk.

As for Newcastle, I think they’ll do okay. The players won’t have to put up with their manager constantly telling the world how he needs money to replace them and actually smiling now and again.

Now he’s back in the NE we’ll see a different donkey. He wants to be at Newcastle being a hero.... moves were just for money.

... or he really is a crock who is laughing that life is such a doddle.

I have a feeling he’ll be good there.

No doubt how good he was first time round, all comes down to his fitness (dodgy heels I think is his biggest issue?).

Andy Carroll is a great footballer if he could just stay fit, he is a centre halfs nightmare.

Big strong lad who puts himself about and a right handful at set pieces

The first 2 of which were sub cameos and the last 1 playing injured. For Newcastle. Who never create anything.

Over rated donkey.

Just once he's scored double figures in a PL season, but for all the hype you'd think it was a regular occurrence.

Yes i noted his stats earlier,Wood and Barnes both easily outstrip his goals tally,on a goals per game basis, and they've proven for a few seasons now that they're capable PL strikers.Added to this he's a constant sicknote, who struggles to complete 90 minutes these days.
