Liverpool v Norwich
Liverpool v Norwich
Are we already wanting Norwich to lose tonight or will we finish above them quite easily come next May.
Anyway I'm going 4 -1 to the Scousers.

Think it will be tighter than 4-1, think Norwich might surprise a few this season.....2-1 to LiverpoolAclaret wrote:Are we already wanting Norwich to lose tonight or will we finish above them quite easily come next May.

Regardless of where they may finish in the table, I don’t think we need to worry about them getting anything tonight.

Always back the underdog until we're up the creek and need a favour
Re: Liverpool v Norwich
Norwich signed 12 players this window, don't really know many apart from Patrick Roberts & Sam Byrom.

Hope for a Norwich win. Our assault on the top 6 means we could do with all the big 6 losing games

Indeed. You need to keep clean sheets to have any chance or survival as they simply won't score enough.Vegas Claret wrote:I hope Norwich can an absolute hiding, if they defend like they did last season they will

Re: Liverpool v Norwich
I think we conceded something like 20 goals less than they did when we won the championship. They might be decent going forward but unless they have addressed that (we will find out later today) I think they could struggle for sure (hopefully)Spijed wrote:Indeed. Daniel Farke?
Re: Liverpool v Norwich
Norwich are a good side but can’t see them getting anything tonight.
Re: Liverpool v Norwich
I liked the look of Buendia last season, he's got ability.
Hopefully they get beat tonight, pains me to say that as i aint too keen on Liverpool.

Re: Liverpool v Norwich
Want a proper, no nonsense, welcome-to-the-Premier-League demolition job from the scousers tonight. Straight up 5-0; 80% possession, 20 shots on target.
And I want Norwich’s football to be exposed as the unsustainable brand at this level that I believe it is.

Buendia is hugely influential for Norwich. They lost most of the games when he wasn’t available.bodge wrote:I liked the look of Buendia last season, he's got ability.

Can't see it but I hope Norwich beat them, have I ever told you I hate scouser's after they jumped me after we beat them 1-0 in the cup at the Turf many moons ago.Come on Norwich.

Re: Liverpool v Norwich
Anyone wanting anything other than a Norwich defeat isn't thinking clearly. ultimately we need more points than Norwich and realistically have no chance of challenging Liverpool at the top.
A 1-0 Liverpool win will do, but a heavy defeat for Norwich would be even better as it will damage morale.

Re: Liverpool v Norwich
given how close the league was last season I just don't see anything other than a Liverpool win, if they drop points at home to a promoted side then they might as well concentrate on the cups !

I’ve got Firmino as triple points captain for the fantasy this week

Spot on. The only underdog in the world that matters is us. Everyone else can lose every week for all I care.nil_desperandum wrote:Anyone wanting anything other than a Norwich defeat isn't thinking clearly. ultimately we need more points than Norwich and realistically have no chance of challenging Liverpool at the top.

Re: Liverpool v Norwich
As much as I dislike Liverpoo, I want them to beat a possible relegation rival. I’m hoping for a demoralising canaries defeat by a big score line.

Much as I would enjoy giving our Liverpool fan in the Pub some stick...
I want a Liverpool win to demoralise the Yellow Birds of Narch.

Im thinking clearly and I dont care who wins and just want a good game with lots of goals. If you want to start focusing on how results may impact on our season on week 1 then thats up to you but not everyone is that invested and are happy to just enjoy the entertainment and wait and see how things start to pan outnil_desperandum wrote:Anyone wanting anything other than a Norwich defeat isn't thinking clearly. ultimately we need more points than Norwich and realistically have no chance of challenging Liverpool at the top.

Re: Liverpool v Norwich
I know your'e the "devil's advocate" but 3 pts is 3pts whether you get them today or in the last game of the season. The fewer points Norwich get the better, and a morale and confidence boosting win (or even a draw) at Anfield tonight is the last thing that we need, and I suspect that 95+% of Burnley supporters think the same.Devils_Advocate wrote:Im thinking clearly and I dont care who wins and just want a good game with lots of goals. Im sure plenty will but there will be far far more than 5% of Burnley fans who dont give a toss about the score tonight.nil_desperandum wrote:I know your'e the "devil's advocate" but 3 pts is 3pts whether you get them today or in the last game of the season. This board naturally attracts more of the obsessive supporters but outside of here a lot of supporters dont eat, sleep and breathe Burnley 24/7
