'We were a top half side with 28 points while Southampton’s 24 points kept them safely clear of the bottom three.'
I may be acting a bit dim, but you will have to explain that bit to me.

I think this refers to a league table comprising only the last nineteen games.dougcollins wrote:'We were a top half side with 28 points while Southampton’s 24 points kept them safely clear of the bottom three.'

"both of us had good second halves to the season."

It's not as obvious as I meant it to be but it was referring to the second half of the season.dougcollins wrote:'We were a top half side with 28 points while Southampton’s 24 points kept them safely clear of the bottom three.'

Thanks Tony, good preview!
Interesting that you think Jay won't start, but I can see why. Confident we go with McNeil and JBG over Lennon?

I'd go with Lennon over JBG but I suspect he won't. Barnes hasn't scored in pre-season but his partnership with Wood in the second half of last season was so important I just think Dyche will stick with it to kick off although I'm not sure Barnes has ever started an opening day game for us.Claretmatt4 wrote:Thanks Tony, good preview!
