Dyche- how much profit has his transfer dealings made
Dyche- how much profit has his transfer dealings made
Was wondering the other day if Dyche has spent less on transfer fees than we have made on selling players. Does anyone know?
Throughout the 2000s we had to sell players to balance the books, fortunately we don’t need to do now, but we have still sold a fair few players whist Dyche has been here for big fees.

£18 million for Gray
£8 million for Heaton
£30 million (potentially) for Keane
Who else, where the fees are known?
We've perhaps probably broken even.

Re: Dyche- how much profit has his transfer dealings made
You never know any fees but since Dyche came in we've received fees for Austin, Ings, Shackell, Trippier, Vossen, Keane, Gray, Hennings, Ulvestad, Vokes and Heaton. Also fees for players such as Whitmore and Hendrie.ClaretAndJew wrote:£18 million for Gray

I would imagine we've broken even.
Re: Dyche- how much profit has his transfer dealings made
We can estimate of the fee based on what’s reported. Not accurate I know but it will give us an idea.
If we have broken even that’s fantastic really considering the rise we have had since Dyche arrived

Re: Dyche- how much profit has his transfer dealings made
Austin, Ings, Keane, Gray,Sam and Tom are the big ones but we got money for Trippier Jukes, Darwika, Jones, not sure about Hennings, Vassen and Ulvestad but I think we sold Lafferty to Sheff Utd and there will be some others I am sure
He has paid out for a lot for players Pope Hart new keeper, Lowton, Bardsley, Taylor,Pieters, Tarks, Gibson, Defour Cork, Westy,Gudmundsson, Hendrick,Brady, Barnes, Wood, Jay, Wells, Vydra, Agyei, Keane,Kightly, Gray Jukes, Darwika ?Jones the striker from Everton and maybe a few more.Ward if he wasn't a free
I expect he is in deficit as we have no idea what his present signings will bring if they are sold

Re: Dyche- how much profit has his transfer dealings made
I wonder how he compares to other managers we had had. Stan seemed to spend a relative fortune when the itv money was promised but he also had to keep selling players to balance the books.
I wonder who has the biggest deficit. Possibly Laws?

Re: Dyche- how much profit has his transfer dealings made
All of the above and don't forget Ings went for 8 (plus further 2.5) Million
I reckon we are about even

you will get a reasonable view from this - but be aware evervything he has made has been spent on new signings

we have spent far more than we have brought in throughout the period of Garlick's and especially Dyche's tenure

Even shite like Tendayi Darikwa, we bought him for I think £600k and sold him to Forest for £2.5m.
We have done Bloody well at times.

We may well have spent more than we have brought in, however, the current value of the squad is what is most impressive:Chester Perry wrote:you will get a reasonable view from this - but be aware evervything he has made has been spent on new signings

Tarky 40m +
Pope 25m +
McNeil potentially 30m to the sky is the limit
Most of the others are worth the same or more than what we paid.

He has done well but he didn’t get a deal as good as Wayne Thomas

To the extent that we can now blithely refer to very good Championship level players as "shite".jedi_master wrote:Even shite like Tendayi Darikwa, we bought him for I think £600k and sold him to Forest for £2.5m.

Players like Darikwa would've walked into most positions in our team when Dyche arrived. It's worth remembering that.

I thought he was a very poor player, just my opinion!Rowls wrote:To the extent that we can now blithely refer to very good Championship level players as "shite".

Yeah, it's an understandable opinion. He was a bit out of his depth for us but I think he's clearly good enough for a mid-table Championship side.jedi_master wrote:I thought he was a very poor player, just my opinion!
That's not enough for us now and we're all grateful!
