Now we have a decent competitive squad

Post by davemanu2000 » Mon Aug 12, 2019 2:45 pm

i felt very sad during the past seasons that we could not compete for good players in the transfer market . It was more or less affairs of billionaire city clubs. We could catch one or two at a bargain price .
Nevertheless Burnley stood firm and avoided relegations although the football pundits were hammering that we were sure relegation candidates . this did not prove true as we had our heads above water level each time .
only to remind the world that Burnley is a historic and prestigious club .We are one of the founder members of the FA . we could manage our finance and never in the history of FA Burnley has been declared on the brink of bankruptcy . We have honoured our commitments and never FA has threatened us for any abuse .
this year will be a crucial year for Burnley . All clubs have made judicious recruitments . An aston Villa has spent more than 100million on new players . We cannot go to that extent but have chosen our players wisely . We have the best English Manager and he knows fully what he does . Our Chairman and the board members are wise and know where and how to spend . our supporters are live-wires and they are acquainted how to uplift the morales of players so that they can give the best of themselves .
We crave that the capacity of the stadium be increased to least 30,000 .It is a just proposal for an uprising PL club .
Long live mighty Burnley .
jai Ho! mighty Burnley .
You are the best

I would be quite happy to be quite happy to be a stoke/West brom type of club in terms of capacity 25/26000, I'm sure it's not beyond the realms of possibility, I wish. Having carried out all the work around and within the bl stand I doubt anything will be done to extend that, so we would now be looking at the cfs, I know we've all gone down this road before and I'm not sure of how feasible it would be, but how about putting another tier on, or would it be as cheap just to demolish and rebuild as a 2 tier, thoughts ?

just had a look through all the fixtures again, not really much to trouble us I think, maybe city if they're on form.

I think City's reserves would trouble most other teams

I have attended more than six matches of Burnley . The fans know how to drive the players to a maximum height in order that they give the best of themselves .Even on TV when a match of Burnley is shown live ,i great appreciate the high vocal support of the fans .

Perhaps at home they might steal a draw, but you can't seriously be suggesting they'd trouble us at Turf Moor?
