points total for next 4 games
Arsenal away
Wolves away
Liverpool home
Brighton away
so a maximum of 15 points we could be on after these 4.
with 3 already in the bag what total would you realistically be ok with ?

Re: points total for next 4 games
We'll get nowt at Arsenal
Wolves will have played Europa match on the Thursday so maybe ripe for a smash n grab
We'll get nowt from Liverpool
Brighton is the best chance of a win out of the four
3 points would be fine, 4-6 points would be decent, anything higher and I'll be in dreamland.

Re: points total for next 4 games
3 we have.
3 at Brighton (6)
Possible 1 at Wolves (7)
Anything at Arsenal or Liverpool will be an absolute bonus although we are due something from Arsenal considering all their previous robberies (and with Var they can't cheat as much).
I'd be more than happy with 7.

Re: points total for next 4 games
5 wins 15 points and top of the Prem after 5 games 3 goals conceded 10 scored ...........
Oooooops just woken up
If we have 6 points after 5 games I will be a happy cat but I reckon we can take 5 points from the next 4 if we play to our strengths.
Arsenal away 1 point.
Wolves away 1 point
Liverpool home 0 points
Brighton away 3 points

Re: points total for next 4 games
Realistically, 4 points.
Re: points total for next 4 games
1 point a game will probably see us safe
If you work on that theory then the pressure is off for the next 2 games
Depends on what you want or expect as a fan just to survive or kick on for top 10
Looking at fixtures before Ney year each month look abit like this in my eyes
August - grim
Sept - chance for points
Oct - grim
Nov - chance for points
Dec - mixed bag
20 games in all included last sat
So I think anything between 20-23 points I'd be happy with owt else is a welcome bonus

Re: points total for next 4 games
My prediction is 4 points from those 4 games.
3 at Wolves
1 at Brighton
3 at Wolves
1 at Brighton
Re: points total for next 4 games
Brighton’s result on Saturday makes these fixtures look much harder than they did last week. Arsenal didn’t look anything special so not completely out of the question. Forget Liverpool.
I think we will win one, just don’t know which one!

But just as important is drawing or beating our peer group.
So far so good

Re: points total for next 4 games
Would snap your hands off for 4 points.
Every away game in this league is difficult, so certainly no gimmies, even for a point.
People are underestimating Brightin, they've just won 3-0 away at a usually very good Watford side, it wont be easy down their by any stretch.
Liverpool can smash 3 or 4 past the best of teams.
I'd be absolutely over the moon with 4 points, but I'd shake hands now if offered 2, with no real hiding v Liverpool or Arsenal.
It's an extremely tough start, and those 3 points on Saturday were massive.

Re: points total for next 4 games
As I said anything from Liverpool or the cheating Gooners would be a bonus but I do have a sneaking feeling for Saturday. I think, in fact I'm sure, that Arsenal are definitely our bogey side from the big six - they are the only ones we have never beaten in the PL era and that HAS to change sometime because they aren't THAT good. As always I'm hoping for a VAR approved dodgy penalty to us to give us a 1-0 win 8 minutes into injury time, after they've had 3 disallowed. That would go a long way to righting the injustices of the last few years.Bosscat wrote:5 wins 15 points and top of the Prem after 5 games 3 goals conceded 10 scored ...........

I think we will actually get something at Arsenal this season (bar bad refereeing). We look a thoroughly good outfit this season.

Re: points total for next 4 games
IF we can keep Aubamyang quiet (that's a mighty big if) then I reckon we can get something at Arsenal.
Wolves have European football and I think history shows teams often are a little off on the Sunday after playing in the Europa league.
Liverpool are class BUT it's early season and they are coming to the Turf so there is always a chance.
Brighton is very winnable but they have a new manager so it could depend if they are still in the honeymoon period.
Would take 4-6 points but I'm hopeful of 7-9 points out of the 4 games.
We're all going on a (OK maybe a little early yet)

I think we may well win one of these games and surprise a few. Maybe 7 or 8 points and comfy mid table position.

Re: points total for next 4 games
We have got to be due a result against Arsenal...am I right in thinking that they are the only current team in the league that we are yet to beat in the PL? (excluding Sheff Utd and Norwich of course)
