Why on earth would you have a weekend in London and then stay at Heathrow? If meals are provided at the hotel it means after arrival your weekend is pretty much based there apart from the game as there is nothing at all except motorways and runways to look at or visit. It's not even close to Tottenham. It says this is better value but it isn't its just cheaper, and for a reason.

Are you saying that you don't like the offer, or are you speaking for everyone?

I must say Heathrow is a bit far out , not sure long it would take to get to Edmonton on the bus .
Still it's anyone choice if they want to take it .

Went to Ireland the other year with Barrie and the Supporters Club... to the Shamrock Rovers friendly.

Stayed in Bray and had a whale of a time..... 3 nights and a trip out to The Wicklow Mountains and a Day in Dublin as well as the Football.

Don't knock these trips until you have tried one.

What do you mean? it's pretty handy for a night out in Staines (upon Thames). ;)

Just don't understand it. If central London is too expensive stay in a decent town that is close to London rather than at an airport that is still an hour plus away from the ground. The only option for both Friday and Saturday night would appear too be sit in the airport hotel restaurant then move to the bar. Not my idea of a weekend away destination but each to their own.

Well Mrs T and me will be on the trip as will many of the regulars. It's a meet up of a regular group of people. You catch up where you left off last time.
It's like a big family...A swim on Saturday morning... watch the planes coming in and taking off...count the Eddie Stobarts ont motorways... gourmet buffet grub... big heart attack breakfasts...always wanted to visit Staines... Afternoon tea in Banbury Friday afternoon...wave to the Queen on Sunday in Windsor... perfect... most of us in our 70s... we are in bed by 9... morning spent looking for our teeth... sleep on the coach... bliss.

There’s always the option of organising your own excursion into central London

yes most of us are over 60 but we don't do a quiz we just guess how old every body else is.
Then in the morning we play how much you can pile on the plate without spilling.
In the evening it's who can stay up longest, not many manage past 10. 00
Truth is we don't want any young folks coming to keep us awake on the coach.

Tickets will be at a premium for this game, I trust that all the fans on the Supporters' Club trips have to fulfill the same purchasing regulations as all other fans.

I've done this journey in a taxi many times. Probably about 90 minutes on a Saturday afternoon, traffic on the North Circular is always slow.

You'd think so, but it always seems to be a bit of a grey area. Going off things I've heard, I'd love to see how many tickets for the big away games disappear to supporters clubs, directors, staff, sponsors and other hangers on.

The train to Paddington (Not Heathrow Express) only takes about 30 mins.

You'll always get wicked whispers.

As a foreign supporters club bod, i can assure you while we are offered some degree of help for home games, for away games we are told to try the same way as any other fans would.

Some on that route only take 16 minutes, and you can use a day travel card, so it's only £13 for the day. (So if most of party are over 60, then it's less than £9 with your Senior Railcard.)

It does, but then you've got about another 50 minutes to White Hart Lane with a couple of tubes and a bus.

Well that's true, but in fairness it's probably going to take you in excess of 30 /40 minutes from just about anywhere in Central London with changes etc, unless you are somewhere near the overground line that runs from Liverpool St.

Looks to be a great w/end trip. I'm sure you will all know it is in December, dark nights, maybe even London will be cold and wet. Opportunity for a little Saturday morning Xmas shopping in the west end - after the "all you can eat" breakfast buffet - and before the game at the "new white hart lane."

I'd be tempted to join you all - but I'm down in South West London, already.

Enjoy.

You all sound like you will have a whale of a time.

I'll be on Virgin West Coast main line route to Euston before they lose their franchise the following day to First Trenitalia.

Is Rocky going? If so it’s excellent value at twice the price.
