Re: Managerial casualty number one
He did a good job and seems a very reasonable chap.
Seems a bit odd for it to be "mutual"

Re: Managerial casualty number one
He must be expecting a premier league vacancy soon.
I looked briefly last weekend at trying to get a price for Jones at Stoke to be first manager sacked in all divisions but couldn't find one, saved £20 but don't think it will be long if they continue as they are.

Is it 'our' Keith Lowe suing for unpaid monies?

Re: Managerial casualty number one
Says a few odd things but looked like he did a good job there, maybe on the lookout for a better opportunity now. Fair do's, took the only job he was offered and did well at it, deserves a crack a bit higher up.

Got to give him his due. He did a good job for them in rather difficult circumstances.
Re: Managerial casualty number one
Paul Ince did a good job too at Macc but then ran out of steam after MKDons, Rovers Notts Co and Blackpool

How dare he damage BAME representation amongst football league managers.ClaretTony wrote:Sol Campbell gone at Macclesfield by mutual consent
Re: Managerial casualty number one
Fair play to Sol, plenty of people took the mickey out of him, which tbf he brought on a lot of it himself but he put his money where his mouth is and did a good job at Macclesfield.

Re: Managerial casualty number one
Why does everyone assume Sol has what it takes to be a manager.
Often good players make poor managers
Either was he needs to start with another lower league club and prove himself

He started at a lower league club and kept them up against the odds....Woodleyclaret wrote:Why does everyone assume Sol has what it takes to be a manager.

Are you saying he needs to do it all over again?
Personally I think he's shown potential and deserves a crack at a more stable club or one higher up the league's.

Re: Managerial casualty number one
Sol did a great job against the odds . Right time for him to go regardless really . He’l be very much in the box seat for the 1st 1st div/low champ management sackings .A decent league 1 club with a few £ could do his CV no damage at all
