Why no Hart, Hendrick, or Vydra? Might as well do the job right. What's the point of starting threads just for fishing?

The thread clearly states Your team for the gunners not the team which will play. What would you pick? Have you played games before?

If you genuinely believe that Burnley are best served by leaving out Barnes and Pieters and by playing Drinkwater who Dyche has said is not fit, then I apologise. But your team seemed so far removed from what I would have thought of, that I thought you were on a wind-up.

Why would you leave out Barnes?

I think that one thing to bear in mind is that Arsenal’s tactics may revolve around Burnley starting with the same eleven. On a personal level I would be happy with the same starting eleven or playing Bardsley for Lowton. Also when we have possession to play as wide as possible to make it more difficult for what might be a back four that has a couple of players making their club debuts.

Only change I'd consider is bringing in Hendrick for one of the two wide midfielders. That worked extremely well away to the bigger clubs last season.

On the other hand, not easy to decide which of McNeil or JBG would make way given how well McNeil has performed this calendar year and JBG's goal last week.

Pope
Lowton - Tarkowski - Mee - Pieters
Cork
JBG - Barnes - McNeil
Wood - Jay Rod

(I know little about football so most unlikely lineup  )

There must also be a good case for a more defensive line-up, if we do indeed choose tactics dependent on our opponents, especially away from home where we might be happy with 15 to 25% possession.

SD very unlikely to change the winning team of last week. Jay Rod will get his chance bit by bit and as no Drinkwater yet ( fit but lacking match practice ) minor niggles aside don’t see much of a change .

No changes to starting 11, with Taylor on the bench instead of Long if he's recovered.

I would sacrice flair for a bit more defensive cover. Once we are settled in at 2-0 bring on McNeil, JRod and Lennon :D
