Re: ARTICLE: Wolves game moved to Sunday
I was hoping for the 2pm kick off. Wonder why we have agreed to the later 4.30pm ko time?
Re: ARTICLE: Wolves game moved to Sunday
SKY probably had a big say in determining the KO time, even though our game isn't actually on.
Re: ARTICLE: Wolves game moved to Sunday
Games played on Sundays have to kick off at the same time as one of the Live TV games. So either 2pm or 4.30pm.
Last season when we played on Sundays because of our Europa games we played at the earlier kick off times.
Presume Wolves wanted to kick off later? Not much thought for fans having to travel on a Sunday night, but thats nothing new is it!

I'm led to believe that the clubs couldn't agree so it went to the Premier League to make a decision - Wolves wanted it on the Monday night to allow further recovery time from their Europa League game.Targetman wrote:Games played on Sundays have to kick off at the same time as one of the Live TV games. As Targetman has posted, it has to go to one of the broadcasting times so was always going to be 2 or 4:30 if it was on the Sunday.

Can't imagine they'd have ever got Monday as we have Sunderland to play midweek (even if they don't have a game!) - cheeky buggersClaretTony wrote:I'm led to believe that the clubs couldn't agree so it went to the Premier League to make a decision - Wolves wanted it on the Monday night to allow further recovery time from their Europa League game.

More likely than usual this year in August!Burnley1989 wrote:A rainy Monday night in Wolverhampton..... shudders
Re: ARTICLE: Wolves game moved to Sunday
Just seen that Wolves play Man Utd on Monday, so with them also having a Europa League game on Thursday I can understand now why they would want our game to be on the Monday. They now have 3 big games in 7 days.

Wolves are there for the taking
They have two tough games before us and we need to go all out for 3 points

I think you are seriously underestimating the quality of their squad if you think thatWoodleyclaret wrote:Wolves are there for the taking

Re: ARTICLE: Wolves game moved to Sunday
How come games have moved from 4pm to 4:30 on Sundays now?
Re: ARTICLE: Wolves game moved to Sunday
You'd hope we'd have a good chance to get something, especially with the way we are currently playing.ClaretTony wrote:I think you are seriously underestimating the quality of their squad if you think that
Re: ARTICLE: Wolves game moved to Sunday
The early KO seems now to be 2pm so the later one has moved to 4.30pm so they do not clash I reckon is the reason (but don't quote me )Bordeauxclaret wrote:How come games have moved from 4pm to 4:30 on Sundays now?

Re: ARTICLE: Wolves game moved to Sunday
We've played twice and lost one of them and I think Wolves have some very, very good players. They absolutely murdered us there last season and they have a stronger squad now. This will be a very difficult game. Very much we have a chance to get something, but we do in every game.Spijed wrote:You'd hope we'd have a good chance to get something, especially with the way we are currently playing.

Re: ARTICLE: Wolves game moved to Sunday
If we apply ourselves and stick to the game plan, whatever that may be, like we did at Arsenal then there's no reason why we can't go there and get a result. In fact we should go there and have a more attacking intensity because wolves won't keep the ball for hours and pass it for passing sakes. We'll need to be on it defensively too though.
Re: ARTICLE: Wolves game moved to Sunday
Because it will be what SKY wanted basically.Bordeauxclaret wrote:How come games have moved from 4pm to 4:30 on Sundays now?
