That Villa defense is going to make him look really average, and maybe dent his hopes of England no1.

Villa better learn quickly it's not easy to play out from the back in this league, they're not Man City after all.

Tom's already shipped 5 goals in a game and a quarter not a good start.

Remind me how much did Villa spend in the summer, about 150 million i believe.

Are you saying this blokes valuations are a little out??

As for what they spent, it was pointed out on here that they permanently signed a number of their loan signings from last season, just some failed to agree they'd been ripped off with some of that money spent.

Let's get over Tom Heaton he now plays for Villa. Nick Pope plays for BFC

Are you being ironic, or do you mean something completely different in your post on the thread below (#165)?

Personally, I fail to see what difference there would have been in the result had Tom Heaton have been playing and why anyone would feel the need to comment thus?

What's stupid is not understanding the banter my post was made in. I even added two dots to make it more obvious to the likes of him!

Joe Hart would have saved them all and would have scored when going up for the corner.

Hmm, this is from the poster who said the first half of last nights game was end to end and a great game.
Can you please "engage your brain" and understand that other posters may also be tongue in cheek.

Villa have been spouting off about how the master stroke in signing Heaton will get them 10 points this season. Well he cost them 3 today so there estimation is down to 7 after only two games.

don't most team set out to get 40 points to avoid relegation? why would AV only want 10 points all season?

"UTC" - if it is the correct "salutation" on a Burnley mb - but we are discussing another club is play in claret and blue? ;)

Well I wish we still had Tom between the sticks at the Arse today as I can’t think he wouldn’t have stopped both.

Surely its up to 13 rather than down to 7 as he owes them 3 more

I watched the MOTD highlights,i have no idea what TH was thinking for the Bournemouth penalty, that was a rash call to come rushing out,the guy wasn't going to score from there, the 2nd no goalies saving that.

Popey will probably concede he could have done better with Arsenal's opener, anytime a keeper gets beat at their near post, questions will be asked, apart from that minor mistake and his dodgy kicking, the rest of his game was top-class,there was no chance for him to stop Aubameyang's winner, all keepers will make errors,De Gea had several howlers towards the end of last season, and heaven knows what Adrian was doing to gift Danny Ings a sitter yesterday.

The reason TH was sold is simple he's in the last year of his contract and we received a reasonable offer for a 33 year old,Pope committed to signing a long-term deal, and he's hopefully our number one for 3/4 seasons minimum, even if Heats has stayed and seen out his contract.it's by no means certain he would be playing every week, which a keeper of his calibre needs to be doing at this stage of his career.

I’m not sure that popey could have done much about the first. He’s not going to stand with his legs closed and he can’t have expected him to get a shot away as he was falling over with his back to goal and two defenders on him.
