I wonder why we struggle against Arsenal, yet we seem to be able to play better against Spurs who have been the better team in recent times.

We beat Spurs last season but they outplayed us on their previous two trips to Spurs. A lot of things have gone against us against Arsenal in recent years. Probably a fair result in the end yesterday but so many positives from our point of view.

I watched the game but on tv. I read the Guardian report and comments. The language from some of the Arsenal so called fans about Barnes and general.discussion about Sean Dyche and his tactics and gruff voice led me to believe many Arsenal fans are 'pansies'. Why they can't just comment on whar a good team they have and what a spirited performance it was from the Clarets I don't know. Personally I hope they win zero and finish outside the top four.

Another defeat at Arsenal but i left with a feeling that the gap between us is definitely closing. They were really starting to get worried at the end.

Also have to say that i found Arsenal's goal kick routine utterly bizarre. Pity we didn't test their keeper more as he looked like a weak link

I took two pics there yesterday, the other having on all seven letters. I decided I’d choose which one to use based on the result so ARSE it was.

Thanks CT, good report. MOTD did come up with 1 stat that I thought was good in that of all the premier league teams we have faced under Dyche, the only team we have not take points from is Arsenal, indeed this would make them our bogie team.

I thought the final few minutes when Pope came up for the corners was highly entertaining and then Lennon came bursting through at the death but passed instead of taking a shot. MOTD was ridiculously one sided.

I didn’t think the MOTD coverage was a fair reflection of the game.

Their goal-kick routine was high risk, I certainly wouldn't want to see us try it but to be fair I think they'd done their homework. Playing it out from the back like that made 'the press' less effective and there were a couple of times when they passed the ball through us and got into some good positions.

Thought we were excellent in the first half - second best after the break - but then if you had paid £72M for a striker you'd expect his introduction would have some impact!

That's the closest we've got to them in any Dyche-era PL game and assuming we can maintain those levels we can have a healthy degree of confidence about the season ahead.
