It seems to be everywhere and tbh its put me off watching it. I gave up part way through series 2 on my first attempt a few years back.

Wasn't some of it filmed near Hambledon Hill ?

Following the demise of several of my favourite historical dramas, and the ability of the end of game of thrones to dull my appetite for fantasy... it’s about the drama highlight of my year its return.

You have missed out.

Not many series get better and better but this does.

The best of British with some top quality acting.

It’s brilliant and one of the best British made dramas for years.
Personally I enjoyed the first few series than the last couple - the 4th series with the Russians was the least enjoyable for me.
First couple of series with the Italians, Tom Hardy and the bent Irish police chief were some of the best TV I’ve ever seen.
Great cast and great writing
A lot of it is filmed around Liverpool - think it’s cheaper as they don’t have to change the set to make it look like an early 20th century slum !!!

I’ve watched it on and off and currently up to series 3 episode 5. Will see if I can cram the rest in before series 5 starts.

I thought it was a comedy programme until recently! I then saw it on Iplayer with a pic that didn't look funny!

Ended up watching 4 series!
Excellent programme, albeit very violent.

I meant the war between Shelby and the Italian Sabini in series 2 I think - where Alfie Solomon got involved. That was the best of peaky in my view.

The Italian Mafia in series 4 was good - better than the Russian stuff in the previous series which was all a bit weird (but still better than most other TV !)

It’s crazy to think that this started as a BBC2 drama when you consider its popularity

Cancel that... Skyq guide says its series 5 episode one, with same detail as the upcoming one on Sunday, but recorded it, and its an old one... Weird

I've never seen it - is it one where you have to have seen all the previous series or can I just jump in with the new series?

You would need to see them all but it’s so worth a binge watch

As MRG says, you really need to watch from the begining

Thinking it would be a more "me" program then for her, Mrs W started to watch them without me to see what she thought.

Before she knew it she was 2 series in and I hadn't even watched and episode

I'm now caught up and waiting for Sunday to arrive now

I'll take a look. They weren't on earlier, it was only from series 2.

They're time limited on iplayer, I think the last ones expire sometime in September.
