Re: 2-0 and u mucked it up
The same could be said of Mansfield Town playing Leyton Orient.
Also, Portsmouth leading 3-1 at home to Coventry and then conceding 2 goals playing against 9 men to draw the game 3-3.

3-1 up away at Oldham about 20 years ago. Squandered the lead and ended 3-3. Still mad about that one.

Pompey had a mare last night too. 3-1 up against Coventry, Cov have a man sent off then pull one back from the penalty spot. They are then down to 9 men and equalise right at the death for 3-3 draw.

Always score but always concede
Re: 2-0 and u mucked it up
We almost did the very same thing two seasons later - 2-0 up at home to Palace, they got it back to 2-2, but it was us who got the late winner through Barnes. They still had time to hit the post through Townsend, though.Longside4evr wrote:And use more recent against Palace three seasons ago on the Turf 2 nil up at half beat us 2-3

Re: 2-0 and u mucked it up
Does anyone remember years ago when we did it the other way around two Saturdays in succession, both at home? losing 1-4 at half time to (I think) Charlton only to draw 4-4 (with Flynn missing a sitter or we'd have won) then Orient beating us 0-3 at half time and we drew 3-3 (not sure which game was first to be honest). What a good game football is.

I think Peter Noble got MOTM as he scored all 4 for us .houseboy wrote:Does anyone remember years ago when we did it the other way around two Saturdays in succession, both at home? losing 1-4 at half time to (I think) Charlton only to draw 4-4 (with Flynn missing a sitter or we'd have won) then Orient beating us 0-3 at half time and we drew 3-3 (not sure which game was first to be honest). I remember us being 0-2 down at home to Wrexham in the mid-80s and a bloke in the CFS throwing his season ticket onto the pitch in disgust before exiting the ground. We went on to win 5-2.

The most famous one i recall from recent times,is Arsenal 4 up at Newcastle going into the 2nd half, finished 4-4 after the usual Arsenal defensive collapse.

This is an incredible comeback. Doff your cap to Swindon Town.

I think the equaliser was handball too, and luckily wasn't spotted by the officials.houseboy wrote:Does anyone remember years ago when we did it the other way around two Saturdays in succession, both at home? losing 1-4 at half time to (I think) Charlton only to draw 4-4 (with Flynn missing a sitter or we'd have won) then Orient beating us 0-3 at half time and we drew 3-3 (not sure which game was first to be honest). Re: 2-0 and u mucked it up
Opening game of the season in about 05 under cotterill. Relegated WBA were 2-0 up at half time and we turned it around to be 3-2.
Could have been the year Andy Gray forced his move to Charlton.
Edit. Taken a look and this game was an evening game in April '07! Was their another time we came back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 on the opening day??

Definitely Norwich and I think the other was Cardiff. I was studying goalkeepers at the time and it was Keelan and I think someone called Healy for Cardiff.

Re: 2-0 and u mucked it up
And this was a good one
Millions of BBC2 viewers saw tearful Chann Hardwick rip her programme in half and throw it on the floor after seeing her side blow a 3-1 advantage to lose 4-3 at Turf Moor on Saturday.
Now, more than 17,000 people have viewed the video of her on YouTube.
The 19-year-old, a sports coaching student at the University of Central Lancashire, said she hoped the video would show the club’s players what passion its supporters still have.
She said: “Things were going so well at 3-1 and it was brilliant and then to see us just give it away like that in the last ten minutes, I didn’t know whether to cry or be sick.
“I just burst into tears, I couldn’t stop myself, unfortunately the camera caught me.

You could be right but I need to check it because I was certain it was Charlton (but I have been wrong).THEWELLERNUT70 wrote:I think the 4-=4 was against Norwich
