Clarets beat AFC Fylde 3-0

Post by ClaretTony » Wed Aug 21, 2019 3:17 pm

Goals from Jeff Hendrick, Danny Drinkwater & Jay Rodriguez (pen) this afternoon in what the club have called a Barnfield Bounce - I still don't know what a bounce game is.

Is it something akin to a "pick-up hockey" game? aka a game for whoever they want to give minutes to and/or who fancies playing?

I think it's a game they don't tell us about until after it's been played to be honest :D but I still don't understand why it's called a bounce.

sounds like it just mean they can ‘bounce’ on and off as much as they want.

No team given but he's been out with a knock so might not be fully fit yet

Just read the report on BFC website on this run out... I see young Lewis got another run out alongside 1st teamers... be good for the lad.

Non game for obvious reasons but keeps the legs and minds working

Was this game up at Gawthorpe ? Been up there with the grandchildren this afternoon and there was
a game being played on the left as I drove up the drive to the car park. There seemed to be quite a few watching.

Opposition were in yellow (and black stripes ???)

That’ll probably be the game as they are the colours of Fylde’s away kit.
