That's exactly why I'm going to watch it - there's every chance that Brentford could do it imo.Bosscat wrote:Off out to a quiz but will keep up with results and take the mickey of my m8 in the local if Brentford do the business

Currently opting for the Fulham game.
Re: Tonight's games
Is it via the Red Button again ?
Hope its a big improvement on last season, they only used 1 camera for the game and it was all over the place, with no replays.

Butland treble shocker.
Firstgoal
Punch out for second goal.
Went down slower than the Titanic for the follow up shot.
Must have a transfer on his mind.

indeed for the money, I've no idea who the other keeper option is for Stoke so he could be worsetiger76 wrote:No but it's his fault for selecting him every week.

Re: Tonight's games
I think the only reason he’s still there is down to Stoke probably having made too many managerial changes in the last couple of years.claretfern wrote:....how long has the Stoke Manager got left, I wonder ??......

Re: Tonight's games
Their number 2 is Adam Federici the Aussie signed from Bournemouth, who bizarrely has a league goal to his name,on Boxing Day 2008 he netted a 96th minute equaliser against Cardiff.Vegas Claret wrote:indeed for the money, I've no idea who the other keeper option is for Stoke so he could be worse
He's got plenty of experience and would surely be an better bet than Butland, who's confidence is totally shot.
Sam's on the bench for Stoke again, how on earth can he not get a start with this shower.

Ward must be injured as not even in the squad

I see Sam is benched again and Ward not even in the squad (is he injured?)
Anyone read the Glen Johnson piece on Berahino a few weeks back? Unbelievable. There's every chance that at some point we'll find ourselves back in the Championship but difficult to imagine either with SD in charge or indeed with his legacy casting its shadow over the club we'll descend into a shambles like Stoke so soon after relegation.

Surely that's just a common-sense statement of fact ? We all hope it's a long way off but for a club our size it'll be a miracle if it never happens.tim_noone wrote:"There's every chance we will end up back in the championship at some point" FFS!

Re: Tonight's games
Absolutely and when it happens we hope the club is in a stable position. Stoke sacked a manager during their relegation season, a second at the end of it and a third during last season.Stalbansclaret wrote:Surely that's just a common-sense statement of fact ? Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, Liverpool, United. Spurs - the only teams who are PL ever-presents. Aside from City everyone else is at some point likely to be relegated - that's not an opinion, it's a fact based on everything that's happened since 1992.

Tom Ince’s career has gone from strength to strength hasn’t it.
I wonder if his dad is still pushing his move to Inter Milan?

I cant remember Everton ever being in sustained relegation trouble, which is pretty impressive for a team that most of the time are fairly crap.

Fulham seem to have re-adjusted to the Championship really well - can easily see them bouncing back. They must be kicking themselves for the hash they made of last season - a missed opportunity if ever there was one.
Would welcome them back to the PL - they've always been very generous with the points when they've visited TM
