Wednesday's lineup will be interesting, with Drinkwater probably on the bench and players such as Vydra not yet featuring.

That’s one month of Drinkwater’s 5 month loan gone then.

Indeed, but he isn’t playing this week, he’s unlikely to feature against Liverpool and then we don’t play again in the league until 14 September.

Trousered another 160k this month for zero contribution. Though that statement is far from unique....

He might feature against Liverpool given he’s likely to play against Sunderland. He was a vital signing though; we were short of a player in there with Defour’s continued injury problems.

Even after Liverpool there are still another 17 league games before his loan ends.

The thought that he may not start next is bizarre.

Bizzare that he can’t even make the bench to give us that option. Surely he’s fit enough for 30mins.

Even when he makes the bench he has to dislodge Hendrick who doesn't even get a sniff

Dyche has said he’s coming to the end of his pre-season and needed the minutes he’s had this week. He won’t play him in the Premier League until he thinks he’s ready though but I’m sure we can expect him to play against Sunderland and then step into the squad for the Liverpool game.

If Dyche thought he was absolutely ready then he’d be involved so not bizarre at all for me. He and his staff will know far better than we can ever know and the manager will have listened to his medical & fitness staff.

If he were still at Chelsea i bet he’d be on their bench though.

That's questionable given their willingness to loan him out.

As frustrating as it is, Id sooner he only comes in when he is ready. Fit and premier league fit are two totally different things. If we rush him in he probably wont show his best and could likely risk injury and we lose him altogether.

Hopefully he plays against Sunderland, he wins and we get another cup game to get them fit.

He won't drop Cork or Westwood anyway.
