Big day today
Today I will be attending my first game for nine years after completing a banning order, it's been the worst time of my life without my beloved clarets. Before anyone has a go, yes i have learned my lesson and no it won't happen again. This morning i feel like a five year old at Christmas, really can't wait, and just a message to anyone whose thinking of causing trouble you will regret it for the rest of your life.

Can I ask what you did that resulted in such a long ban?

It's all in the past now but it was the incident in cherry tree that I stupidly got involved in. Nine years not a punch thrown but quite simply we shouldn't have been there.

I was going to suggest not ordering a taxi in jest before your Cherry Tree comment.

Enjoy the day - a nine year punishment, coinciding with our most successful period for decades must have felt like a life sentence!!claret3561 wrote:It's all in the past now but it was the incident in cherry tree that I stupidly got involved in. You must have tried to sneak on to a few though

9 years is a long time.
Easy to get involved in, especially when younger. The ban will have been hard but given perspective about whats important and how stupid and pointless it actually is.
Enjoy the game. Utc.

9 years WTF did he do? Murderers have done less.
Re: Big day today
Curious to whether the club have lifted your ban from the Turf if you got one?
Once of a day if you got a banning order from the courts, no matter the length, Burnley then automatically banned you for life.
If that's still the case, it's worth talking to them about it.
Cliff Eden is the man.
Theres quite a lot of people I know who've been allowed to return and their previous ban been quashed.

Plenty have done things in their past/youth that they've lived to regret
Everybody deserves a second chance to right past wrongs
Given that you've shared this information freely, when you didn't need to, shows that you've moved on since those times so welcome back.
