Points from next four games?`
Liverpool H
Brighton A
Norwich H
Villa A
I'd say we should be looking at at least 5-7 points from those matches. After seeing Southampton play against Liverpool I think we have a good chance of at least scoring, especially as Norwich created plenty at Anfield as well.
The rest of the matches are those we tend to do reasonably well in.

Five.
As well as we played at Wolves, I think Liverpool will have too much for us.
But five points is perfectly possible from the rest.

We are 9/1 to win against Liverpool. The odds are embarrassing tbh even if we end up losing the game.

I genuinely believe we will get at least 8 pts from these games. Maybe even 11 pts depending which Villa team turns up on the day.

Re: Points from next four games?`
Strangely I think we might get something from the liverpool game.
Brighton is definitely winnable
Norwich at home if we stop pukki scoring we will win
Villa is the one I am least optimistic about. Never seem to do well at their place

6-7 I would expect. 5 would still be acceptable.
4... from those overall fixtures, disappointing.

Given that it's very unlikely we'll get anything against the scousers, and that we generally look for a point away and 3 at home I would say 5 is realistic, anything more will be a massive bonus.Spijed wrote:Liverpool H

Re: Points from next four games?`
I didn’t think we were looking for a point away yesterday or at Arsenal the previous week. We took the game to both teams, particularly in the first half of each match.alwaysaclaret wrote:Given that it's very unlikely we'll get anything against the scousers, and that we generally look for a point away and 3 at home I would say 5 is realistic, anything more will be a massive bonus.
As for points, as long as we have at least as many on the board as games played then we are on track to remain in this league.

12 we are good enough to beat Liverpool who have a tendency to leave gaps at the back which we will exploit

Think we will lose against Liverpool (albeit, I bet we don’t concede more than two and may well nick a consolation), after that I genuinely believe we will get 9 points.
Nothing to fear there - we can keep the door shut against all three and are very likely to score at least once against each.

If we play to our best in all games I reckon we can get 10 points. Would be happy with 7-9 though.

Love us to beat liverpoo it would give the club a major lift through out the world.
Let's face it in world football City are miles apart from Liverpool. City can't compete with Liverpools fan base, they are light years away

Fancy us to get a point vs Liverpool.
Re: Points from next four games?`
Win ‘em all!
Might be controversial but I predict we’ll face our toughest test against Brighton out of those four.

I'm hoping for 9.
I'm pretty sure Klopp will be worried about our visit, when we played them at the Turf last season he was definitely papping it near the end.

Re: Points from next four games?`
Liverpool have won 12 PL games on the spin, sooner or later they have to slip up,whether that will be at TM will depend on the Clarets limiting any mistakes, and taking any chances that fall our way,i fancy us to score they've not been convincing at the back this season, the problem is their front 3 are quite decent,i can't see us keeping them quiet for 90 minutes,so a narrow defeat 1-2.
Brighton's home form hasn't been great i can see a hard-fought 1-1 here.
Norwich have Pukki, but they also have Grant Hanley in defence,a comfortable 3-1 win for the mighty Clarets.
Villa looked good on Friday and that win will have given them a lift,i'd not be disappointed with a draw here.
So 5 points from those games should leave us in a mid-table slot, which compared to last season is a solid start.

Re: Points from next four games?`
A 'free hit' as they say against Liverpool but we are as likely to beat them and lose to Norwich as any other game.
Newly promoted teams are an unknown quantity at this point in the season, remember we got battered at Fulham last year and they didn't win against anyone else for ages
4 points would be progress and anything more a real bonus.

We are a damned site different proposition, than the shower that took to the field last season at Fulham.
4 points would be a poor return for this present Burnley set up

I would hope we will beat Norwich and as a fan Brighton and Villa but to expect it without reservation is how Man Utd fans were spawned during the Fergie era.Top Claret wrote:We are a damned site different proposition, than the shower that took to the field last season at Fulham.

Anything less than 4 I'd be disappointed with.
Realistically 4-7
9 and I'll be in dreamland.
Can't see us beating Liverpool at all, not the way they've been playing.
