The 'edit' feature
How come sometimes when you edit a post does it say that it's been edited and sometimes it doesn't?

Re: The 'edit' feature
If you edit a post before someone else posts a reply, it doesn't display. If someone has since replied in the thread and then you submit an edit, it shows that it's edited.duncandisorderly wrote:How come sometimes when you edit a post does it say that it's been edited and sometimes it doesn't?

Re: The 'edit' feature
Oh right.
So I made a post with a spelling mistake on the Bury thread and Dark Cloud liked it. I could have then edited it to call Dark Cloud a load of nasty names and he'd have looked silly then for liking it, but no one else would have known it'd have been edited.
Cool.

Re: The 'edit' feature
Does it say “Ringo Edit” if you edit someone else’s post ?
Re: The 'edit' feature
But he would then have just un-liked it!duncandisorderly wrote:Oh right.

There should be an unlike button. Sadly hitting like again only gives them another like.Dark Cloud wrote:You're very lucky I haven't unliked it already!!!

Re: The 'edit' feature
Well that has been changed. I’ve made the mistake of accidentally liking a post and on pressing like again it has added another. It was a while ago mind.ClaretTony wrote:It doesn't, it removes the like.

That must have been in the dark ages of CM. It has always been as CT says on this site.Tricky Trevor wrote:There should be an unlike button. Sadly hitting like again only gives them another like.

I’ve just liked and unliked your post.
Could be a phone/cookies issue?

Well that's weird innit? Can you actually see my 2 likes on post 8 just like I can? I'm using my laptop, not a phone.wilks_bfc wrote:I’ve just liked and unliked your post.

Could still be a cookie/cache issue.
Have you tried clearing them?

Mmmmmm, cookie/cache issue you say......now.......just let me see.....mmmmmm, yeeeees, ermmmm, ahhhhh. I really don't want you thinking I'm a bit dense or anything, but...you know what, I think I'll probably just leave those little biscuits alone for now and make sure I only ever press "like" the once! And if I ever want to unlike something, I'll just quote it and write "on further reflection I've decided this post utter BOLL**KS!"
