Get Wood on for the Czech Messi
Re: Mighty Clarets versus Slumberland
At this rate we will concede again before we pull one back. Shambolic football.

Re: Mighty Clarets versus Slumberland
so is Dyche telling them to hoof it or are they just ignoring him ?
Re: Mighty Clarets versus Slumberland
50 + million on that pitch - great signings and money well spent
Re: Mighty Clarets versus Slumberland
Any news of us trying to pull this back-I remember we managed it-just about against newly promoted Burton Albion

I am another who thinks saving our best swaud for Saturday is the right thing. I honestly thought this team would have enough to thump Sunderland. Bitterly disappointed with this 2nd half performance.

The only defence I can make for this is that those outside our first eleven get so very little competitive game time.

No excuse to not give Richardson 20 minutes here, this is done.
Seeing the young lad make his debut would give something to cheer at least.

Re: Mighty Clarets versus Slumberland
I don't think it matters who the outfield 10 are. Start with Hart and we need 2 to 3 goals just to draw the game. Its bonkers.
Re: Mighty Clarets versus Slumberland
That's the way we play though. You can't tell players to hoof it every week then all of a sudden start playing it on the deck. That's why we struggle against these lower league teams, they're comfortable defending long balls and we aren't good enough to outfootball them.SGr wrote:So what if he made changes? They made 8 changes. It’s the style that goes amiss. First half was arguably unlucky, since the break however it’s been non stop hoofball.

He's crap....maybe now his defenders on here will admit it! He never saves anything unless it's from point blank range.FactualFrank wrote:How many goals have we conceded with Joe Hart in goal.

Sean Dyche isn't interested in the cups, and neither am I.
Let's just put this behind us, and concentrate on the game that really matters on Saturday evening.

Re: Mighty Clarets versus Slumberland
We really have just reverted to smacking it long against a team 2 divisions below us. Sad times.
Re: Mighty Clarets versus Slumberland
It was unfortunately, predictable. It takes a while for partnerships and teams to build an understanding. Inevitably, we have eleven individuals and not a team.
Re: Mighty Clarets versus Slumberland
Same goes for the 8 Sunderland changes.boatshed bill wrote:The only defence I can make for this is that those outside our first eleven get so very little competitive game time.
This is a league 1s 2nd string ide, and they've knocked 3 past us...
Re: Mighty Clarets versus Slumberland
Someone tell Sean that when you’re playing a league one team at home and are 3-1 down you probably don’t actually need to launch the ball at every opportunity.

Had a couple of chances, but on balance they still look more likely to score than we do. IMO.icu81b4 wrote:Do we look like scoring at all?

Boysie31 Given your constant criticism of his signings is it true to say you would prefer Dyche to be replaced by a new manager?

Its not good enough from these players considering who they are facing and the changes Sunderland have made. Paid far too much with not nearly enough desire. Don’t they want to be selected for the Premier League ? I’ve always supported Hart but very poor tonight.

Anyone know what the attendance is? The next home cup tie will surely see our lowest attendance in years!

In our first 19 games last season I think we conceded 41 goals and 27 in next 19 with Tom in goalFactualFrank wrote:How many goals have we conceded with Joe Hart in goal.

Re: Mighty Clarets versus Slumberland
That's nothing to do with Tom or Joe, and everything to do with our defence.mdd2 wrote:In our first 19 games last season I think we conceded 41 goals and 27 in next 19 with Tom in goal
Our defence and midfield were terrible for the first half of last season, and then when Tom went in suddenly decided not to be. It was nothing to do with the goalkeepers changing.

The starting XI is virtually set in stone though, doesn't matter what the fringe players do.winsomeyen wrote:What a load of ******** these guys should be bursting a gut to impress in order to be considered for a game in the prem.
Re: Mighty Clarets versus Slumberland
Harts crap, goals against, games lost, I'd rather have a wheey bin in goal. Give him 8 pints of Guiness and tell him to f@ck off
Re: Mighty Clarets versus Slumberland
Are our centre halves physically capable of getting a head on a corner?

I said it was the only defence, not necessarily a good one. You say they should be busting a gut, perhaps a bit more squad rotation may be an incentive.winsomeyen wrote:What a load of ******** these guys should be bursting a gut to impress in order to be considered for a game in the prem.
Otherwise we could just say that this 11 millionaires don't give a F""K

Well doing what they have done tonight means some will be lucky to have any hair let alone fringes, after Sean gets the hair dryers out

Wood on for further hoofball. Get Peacock Farrell on ! To be honest we might as well just play young lads if this is the level of performance.

Unlucky from wood. Just tried to chip the keeper and it goes slightly wide.
